<p>Interesting. I deleted my little countdown-counter for Dec 11 when I found out, so I just have the 12 days 12 hours one now.
Since its “some time after 3 pm” in California time, it’ll be after 6 PM for me. Last year it was about two hours later than that, so I’ll basically find out a bit before bedtime. Rest assured, I’ll stay up as late as it takes, haha.
I’ll actually already be on break at that point.</p>
<p>Oh, and I submitted my USC app yesterday. Woo hoo.</p>
<p>Does anyone else get the eerie feeling that this announcement is directed at us? It just seems odd that they created a full-on news post for a date that is already listed on their website. As far as I can tell, they never bothered to do it in past years.</p>
<p>Well, part of me wondered that, but I think it’d be a bit too much of a self-selective stretch to really think so. I doubt any adcom would really be following our almost 200 pages of banter, haha. Maybe they knew there’d be conjecture about it, since the past few years were on different dates. Maybe they just wanted to remind current SCEAers, so they’d realize how close it is and get pumped up. Maybe they just felt like announcing it. Maybe it was partly because of our discussion. Who knows? Haha.
I do think it’s a valid train of thought, though.</p>

<p>Hey guys. I know I’m a bit late here, but I figured I’d introduce myself and get to know the people who I could go to college with (barring likely rejection, haha.) I’ll try and address most of the stuff that’s come up here…</p>
<p>Username is Weezer 'cause I love Rivers Cuomo (and because I have asthma). I plan on pledging later with stats and stuff, but this is just an intro post so I’ll cross that bridge when it’s relevant. </p>
<p>A lot of people posted about Pokemon, so I figured I’d just weigh in and agree that Pokemon is awesome (favorite Pokemon is Gyrados). :)</p>
