<p>I don’t like the idea of getting my decision during finals Im not going to be able to take my mind off of it before. And after I’m either going to be depressed or crazy excited.</p>

<p>One of the things that really makes my heart flutter about the possibility of acceptance is the thought of that big letter/envelope/package thing coming in the mail. I hope it’s colorful and shiny and as tantalizing as it sounds.
That and the personalized regional person note. Eee.

<p>Wait. Back up for a second. Personalized regional person note? This is the first I’ve heard of that. Care to explain? (I apologize if it’s already mentioned in the thread but the thread is quite long)</p>

<p>Well, it’s just been an occurrence in past Stanford decisions that your regional officer will write you a little personal note on your acceptance letter, often remarking on something about you/your resume/etc. It doesn’t always happen, but it’s been fairly common.</p>
<p>And yes, internationals, too!</p>
<p>Well… if accepted… that’s cool… lol</p>
<p>Wow. That would be really cool to get. Although if I’m accepted and don’t get it, I certainly won’t complain.</p>
