+1 more…
If we keep doing 1 each day, Anon, it’ll only take 90 more days. Hahaha

+1
Why not?

+1 I wonder if 5000 can be reached by the time RD decisions come out

Hahahah dang if we don’t reach 5000 by the time RD decisions come out, I would cry. I would cry hard.
Ooh I found out today one of my friends is applying RD; don’t tell anyone, but I almost don’t want her to get in. I would just feel so inferior. :x
Plus she’s already into MIT EA, she should just stop applying to colleges altogether. Hehe, I’m not selfish :)

We have a Stanford 2014 forum!

Hahaha, Canary =)
I think I scared my whole school off from paying the $90 application fee, especially after seeing everyone from my school get rejected.

+1

+1 10 char

I told myself I wouldn’t come back to this thread after being rejected, but I couldn’t help it… and I guess neither could you Anon :)

I miss you guys :(

+1
It can’t hurt, haha.
Happy holidays, y’all!

+1

I can’t believe I forgot to post on this thread on Christmas, ahhh.
MERRY BELATED CHRISTMAS

I’ve never been able to figure out whether that was un-PC or not… I mean, the other holidays don’t fall on the same day as Christmas, right? Eh.

+1. Wangatang, true that. I only wanted to stay away because I was mad. Now I don’t care. I wasn’t meant to be at Stanford for undergrad.
I still want to see this forum succeed. It’s about the people, not really about the school.

right on Anon. so far, this is the best thread i’ve ever seen.

anybody goin for UPENN now???

OMG. P217 question is killer. No idea if I like my essay or not. Ah well, doesn’t matter. Already submitted.

The other forums are so BORING. I think it’s just because people apply to a ton of schools RD and can’t focus on just one school, unlike Stanford SCEA. We were a pretty epic group. :(

haha yea i just finished 217 today. it was a doozie.

at our peak we were goin like a hundred posts per day and even that doesnt sound high enough.

UPENN. I WROTE AND SCRAPPED 5 VERSIONS OF THAT OPTIONAL ESSAY, and I almost never work that hard.
Yeah, I think the college threads are really only good while people are waiting for ED/EA results. Wangatang, want to exchange essays? My page 217 feels a little risky… and my communities essay probably needs some work too.

On a slightly unrelated note, is anyone applying to Princeton? What essay prompt did you pick?

@Canary, OMG. For seriously. It was such an insane essay. I loved the prompt though. So clever and so interesting. I enjoyed it. Though if every college did that, I’d be so mad.

I did apply. I wrote about community service. And you?

yea sure canary. PM me. and feel free to rip mine apart because not even I like it…

I’m not sure yet… none of the given prompts jumped out at me, so now I’m compiling quotes to write about for the free response one. I really love “Aerodynamically, the bumble bee shouldn’t be able to fly, but the bumble bee doesn’t know it so it goes on flying anyway. – Mary Kay Ash” but I can’t think of a non-cliche essay to write about it ahaha.

Hahah Anon, me too! I didn’t apply to UChicago b/c I wasn’t sure I was creative enough to get away with writing on their prompts. Totally was not expecting a crazy prompt from UPenn.

And it’s on its way to your inbox, wangatang. Rip mine apart too please, especially concept-wise.

alright i sent it. mine wasnt creative; i just took the “i learned something about myself” road. tell me if its boring lol

Canary - I love that quote! I don’t know what I would write about it though, but I’m going to go look for it on a poster or something. I didn’t expect UPenn to have such an amazing/annoying prompt either. It was fun to write though. It definitely made me think and it was a hard one to BS, so UPenn did a good job.

Wangatang, it was like 800 posts in one night?
