OMG SAMEE im so confused

confused is RIGHT.

I am so unaware and oblivious…I didn’t even know decisions come out today. I was about to sleep/shower and just quickly checked my email.

Me “huh what the…? email from Stanford this late?”
CLICK
scrolls down…

“Congratulations…”

HOLY FIDDLESTICKS, WHAT THE COW!!! ::::

I wasnt expecting it at all!! I went CRAZYYY!!!

ahhh definitely me! I was in shock when I got the acceptance. I had to read over the email probably 20 times before I believed it.

haha i feel like I’m going to get an email later going, KIDDING! Sent to the wrong email address, this deserves to go to the girl who is finding the cure for cancer. xD

I justed emailed my interviewer. I sounded do high, hahaha.

Definitely me!

I’m an asian girl from southern California! My demographic screams boring.
I have NO hooks, whatsoever.

( : I just can’t believe it. I seriously kept checking my e-mail four or five times every hour, expecting an email saying: “Dear ocgirl92, We apologize for a mistake our e-mailing system has made. We accidentally sent you an admission letter. We regret to inform you that your decision is in fact a denial.”

I seriously cannot believe this. ((((( :

Code H, Stanford does not do interviews. Are you an international applicant?

lol! i was SHOCKED too!!!
but you know, let’s just ENJOY the moment!!! Congrats guys!!!
I guess we’re just meant to be there!

Some people had interviews from the pilot program Stanford was running. It seems they’ll be continuing it next year.

"Pilot Interview Program Enters 2nd Year

Dean Richard Shaw is pleased to announce that the Office of Undergraduate Admission will extend its successful pilot interview program to a second year and again offer an optional alumni interview to applicants attending high school in the metropolitan areas of Atlanta, Denver, London, New York City, Philadelphia and Portland, OR.

The 2009-10 admission cycle will also include an expansion of the pilot to Minneapolis/St. Paul, Raleigh/Durham and the state of Massachusetts. We are currently evaluating the pilots inaugural year, and in the meantime, we are excited to move forward with three new areas."

Congratulations everybody! Trust me, Stanford had its reasons for accepting you. :)

This is actually how I felt!!! Im still in denial.
congrats guys :)

Heh, my extracurricular list is so pathetic yet I still got in! :D

Am I the only one who noticed that Asians had a ridiculously easy time of it this year?
I’m not knocking on anyone’s success I promise and my warmest of congratulations to all those who got in but it just seems sort of…strange?

it seems somehow… right that only deserving candidates got in ?..

And somehow a 1960-SAT Asian (non-US citizen) like me got waitlisted…=)

I can’t believe it! i didnt have high SAT scores, coming from Vietnam, didnt knwo what my chances were. couldnt even work up the courage to check my mail this morning. but i got IN! I love STANFORD!

I’m a high scoring asian with no hook and I got rejected :(

Congrats to you guys though!

YES @ STANFORD 2014!!!

A Chinese with 1750 SAT!
Until now, I still cannot believe this!

I find it incredibly ironic that when low stat Asians get in they deserve it, but when a low stat URM gets in they must have taken someone else’s spot who was “more deserving”.

The hypocrisy is blatant and entirely racist.
