@nativeamerikat When I got turned down by Vanderbilt I went and wrote a short story where all the admissions office staff is beaten by me and the university endowment is stolen to the last dime again me. Made me feel a lot better.
So in reflection, dramatic may be better than a bit psychotic. At least you don’t bust kneecaps in fictional stories to get over rejections :stuckouttonguewinkingeye:
@jasonkos at least you didn’t get flatout rejected T.T Yeah, I’m hoping I was overqualified too (which is a sucky reason to be rejected anyway but eh) because my stats compared to some of those who got in are frankly more impressive. And then there’s majors and whatnot but water we gonna do.
@TDub465 I know this one girl who got rejected by schools like Seattle U, UW, and BU only to get into Stanford, so don’t read too much into every decision you get. Best of luck!
honestly university admissions is such a gamble and i feel like a lot depends on pure luck. what are you all going to do to pass the remaining time? i’m thinking of watching shameless for two hours
I made nutella cupcakes and buttercream frosting yesterday, and I’m still sad over NYU, so it’s really hard not to go and have one for breakfast/lunch rn
@jasonkos Yes. They do it if they feel that accepting someone who will probably just end up going to another, better school in the end, is just taking away chance for another applicant.
@Tdub365 I believe in you!! But even if you don’t get it, make your reality into a dream rather than the other way around. When life gives you lemons…
