Stanford Class of 2021 Applicant Discussion

RD Decisions released on March 31, 2017 at 3 PM PST according to Stanford’s Twitter.

I thought they were releasing on April 1st? I’m glad they are releasing sooner

tbh not glad they’re releasing earlier… i was banking on march 31 to be a recovery day between doomsday1 (ivy day) and doomsday2 (aka april 1) but NO

two doomsdays in a row :")

@DryMango They say BY April 1st but historically, I’m pretty sure they release their decisions on the last Friday of March.

Countdown!

What shall be the latest date by which I could send an important update. I know, that by now most of the decisions have been finalised, but it is something that will greatly help my application and may compel them to re review my application. Please help!!!

@intellectboy I would send it immediately.

@yonceonhismouth Thank you… Drafting an email…

For the update letter, which Stanford email should we send it to? And I’m also wondering whether they prefer fax for this, and if so, which fax should I send it to? Thanks in advance.

I’ve sent an update at credentials@stanford.edu and I’m sure it’s correct @asdfghjkl321 I got an automated email reply with information including:

SUBMITTING APPLICATION MATERIALS AND UPDATES:
Submit application materials online through the Coalition or Common
Application portal, by email attachment to credentials@stanford.edu, by fax
to (650) 723-6050, or by mail. When sending documents, be sure to include the
applicant’s full name, date of birth, and current school.

I’m hella salty I thought it was March 24th

@emli8100 they could always release it earlier, we never know. But the general trend has been the last friday in march.

@yonceonhismouth I’d assume the same. But they also posted exact date with the time on their admissions twitter (https://twitter.com/EngageStanford/status/837066407816765440), so I made a countdown. I didn’t apply there, but a close friend did & I’m super excited. Good luck everyone :slight_smile:
@emli8100 only 28 more days & 14 hrs lol

22 days to go! It will seem like forever!

I have a question if anyone could help me! When I submitted my Stanford app, it was midday January 3rd, well before the deadline. However, my portal says that my application was submitted the next day, on January 4th. I never received a response to my email. Should I be worried? I didn’t submit my app late :frowning:

@tacimaci When you said you’d never received a response to your email, what kind of email are you talking about? Did you send them an email letting them know you hadn’t submitted the app late, or…? What was the content of the email?

@writernwriters I wrote that I hadn’t submitted it late and inquired as to whether it was a system error or something to be worried about. I just don’t want a strike against me bc it looks like i submitted a day late

@tacimaci Oh, then don’t worry! I was in the same situation as you and sent in an email with the exact same content. I never got a reply. After that, I sent a few emails regarding other issues, and they were pretty quick to respond, one within a few hours and the other within a day. I believe they just don’t reply to the emails about applicants submitting applications a bit late or about errors in submission date/time.

@tacimaci Also, it’s possible that the date simply indicates when they received/downloaded your application. Another possibility is that you submitted it on 4th EST (although Stanford is located in CA and therefore goes by PST, application submission dates are, for most colleges in the U.S., recorded in EST). Even if your application had been submitted on 4th, it’s not a huge deal, so don’t worry about it :slight_smile:

@writernwriters THANK YOU SO MUCH I was so stressed
