Stanford Class of 2021 Applicant Discussion

@lamestprincess @Wowzersmeowzers wow congrats guys!!! SO LUCKY

@SinsOfAdmission I’m from Texas and I received it through postal mail

@Wowzersmeowzers what are your stats like, if you don’t mind sharing?

has anyone received a likely on the east coast ?

@800math No I cannot, and thanks for the congratulations guys! It’s so exciting!

Congrats to those with likely letters! That’s amazing and I’m so happy Stanford went out of the way to recognize your accomplishments

Did any international student receive a LL?

Whether it was intentional or by mistake, it’s best to send every scores for both SAT and ACT. It’s best to be admitted or denied based on who you really are and achieved. If Stanford decides to reject you because one SAT you took was lower, so be it. To me, it’s better to be denied based on truth than get admitted based on a lie. A mistake not remedied becomes a lie. Stanford has the right to view your mistake as a lie if you failed to follow instructions. Our kid sent in all scores from both SAT and ACT, even though one taken long time ago was lower. It may be harsh but if I were an admissions officer, I would reject someone for failing to follow instructions. If you want to work in NASA in future, you better be able to follow instructions. I love the fact that when Stanford says it will send out all emails by so and so date and time, Stanford really sends out all emails on time. That’s called professionalism.

Is it possible that Stanford may release decisions on the 24th of March? Seeing as they usually release decisions earlier on Friday evenings?

I’m in CA and haven’t received a likely letter, and seeing that people in other states have received theirs, I guess I’m not getting one. I really didn’t think I would, so no biggie! The rest of us will just have to wait till March and see. Huge congratulations to those who received their likely letters from Stanford!

Has anyone from the east coast received a likely letter yet? If so, what day did u get it?

I heard that one of the conditions for being retracted is receiving a low GPA. If I used to be a straight A student, what would be the expectations for me? I am doing extremely poorly (as in B and C) on two of my classes and I’m so desperate to get those grades back up again…

@2017hsfuture2021 someone on reddit from the south east got a stanford likely

So lucky! Anyone in CA? Do applicants in CA also receive likely letters?

@ticktacktoe could u post the link from reddit? I would really appreciate it!
