Everybody is looking forward to admission.

Stanford, oh, Stanford, oh yeah!
Please admit me Stanford, yeah!

Fun, fun, fun, fun,
Looking forward to Admits Weekend.

Am I the only one who is getting excited even though I know I will be rejected

Hey guys. I just wanted to wish everyone good luck on Friday. I was admitted REA in December so I totally understand what you all are going through. THE WAITING GAME SUCKS!!! LOL!
I know it seems like you will never be accepted (trust me– I swore with 100% certainty that I was going to open my letter and read, “We regret to inform you…” I even recorded myself opening the email [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAwuyruKqwE] and up until the second I clicked to read it, I kept telling my friends that there was no way in hell I was getting in) but things really do happen for a reason and you really never know with these sorts of things. I guess what I’m saying is that you shouldn’t give up hope and, though it is good to be prepared for the worst, trust that you did everything in your power to show Stanford your best self. That– completing the über long application and giving it your everything– in itself, is an accomplishment.

Your past is not defined by Friday’s decision– it is up to you whether you let it define your future. :slight_smile:
Once again, good luck to everyone.

@Princetonian1013 I just saw your video and seeing you happy made me happy too! I didn’t even apply to Stanford but I’m glad you were accepted!

Side note: I’ve been accepted to PU and I think that just adds to how much your username amuses me. :))

@Princetonian1013 Shanna! Omg, I’ve watched your video, like, three times! It puts a smile on my face. I’ve read your responses to the comments, and your hard work is impeccable. Congratulations on Stanford! I hope to see you there someday :slight_smile:

@LoveTheBard, thx

@lvzdays

  • doing math lol
  • also, pestering our academic counselors in the Advising Center at my school. they love us, they really do.
  • more homework
  • discussing tumultuous and complex yet unformulated feelings/anticipations with fellow seniors
  • eating good food!!!
  • thinking about spring/summer
  • focusing on my activities
  • planning out my life at UC Davis (in preparation for rejection from Stanny)
  • creating a CC account :smiley:
  • more homework
  • reminding myself that i can do something great wherever i am at, as long as i stay positive and work hard!
  • to be totally honest, though, i have to confess that i am thinking about this decision a lot more than i should be… but who isn’t?

Nevertheless, I totally feel you – this week is dragging on at a maddeningly slow rate!! :frowning:

What have you been doing to pass time?

Any Native Stanford applicants on CC?? Curious about the Native Heritage form we filled out

I wouldn’t even dare record myself checking the portal because it would end up as proof of my failure in life lmao

I just made a CC account since it seems part tradition but OH MANNNN I’m soo nervous/somewhat excited (Im crazy i know)

At this point I don’t even care about the Ivy Day tomorrow because I JUST WANT TO GET INTO STANFORD aksjsjwhdhjsb.

Same @writernwriters

@tinkerer1955 Why can’t Stanford do it tomorrow as well like the Ivies… :frowning: I can hardly wait till Thursday.

Do you know how many spots are available after the EA round?? The reason I didn’t do stanford EA is so I could show my senior grades to them

@astrophysicistx there are more spots allotted to RD than EA. for example last year, there were 1318 admitted regular decision (as opposed to 745 in EA).

Hey everyone! REA admit here! I know everyone has already said this, but hang in there! I remember the week of December 9th (when REA decisions came out) honestly took forever and nothing anyone said would make it go faster. Interestingly, though, the closer to the notification date the faster time went. Anyways, hang in there and I hope to see everyone during Admit Weekend and on campus next year!

Someone please tell me I’m not the only one crying myself to sleep waiting on Ivy Day and Stanford (Friday)…?

@swimmergal You’re not alone, hahaha

@swimmergal I literally cried last night.

If I didn’t apply for financial aid will I still be able to take out student loans?
