Looking forward to Admits Weekend.
Hey guys. I just wanted to wish everyone good luck on Friday. I was admitted REA in December so I totally understand what you all are going through. THE WAITING GAME SUCKS!!! LOL!
I know it seems like you will never be accepted (trust me– I swore with 100% certainty that I was going to open my letter and read, “We regret to inform you…” I even recorded myself opening the email [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAwuyruKqwE] and up until the second I clicked to read it, I kept telling my friends that there was no way in hell I was getting in) but things really do happen for a reason and you really never know with these sorts of things. I guess what I’m saying is that you shouldn’t give up hope and, though it is good to be prepared for the worst, trust that you did everything in your power to show Stanford your best self. That– completing the über long application and giving it your everything– in itself, is an accomplishment.
Your past is not defined by Friday’s decision– it is up to you whether you let it define your future.
Once again, good luck to everyone.
@Princetonian1013 Shanna! Omg, I’ve watched your video, like, three times! It puts a smile on my face. I’ve read your responses to the comments, and your hard work is impeccable. Congratulations on Stanford! I hope to see you there someday
@astrophysicistx there are more spots allotted to RD than EA. for example last year, there were 1318 admitted regular decision (as opposed to 745 in EA).
Hey everyone! REA admit here! I know everyone has already said this, but hang in there! I remember the week of December 9th (when REA decisions came out) honestly took forever and nothing anyone said would make it go faster. Interestingly, though, the closer to the notification date the faster time went. Anyways, hang in there and I hope to see everyone during Admit Weekend and on campus next year!
