How are we supposed to spend the next four hours, apart from freaking out and trembling in anxiety - any suggestion? I can’t even sit through movies at this point.

@sunspair Don’t give yourself so much pressure. From a Mom perspective (I am a Mom of a Stanford applicant with the similar ivy result as you have), I think your happiness is the most important part for your parents as I thought about my D. They might not care about ivies as much as you thought. Additionally WUSTL and JHU are such great schools. UCLA and UCB are pretty great especially for CA kids.

International with high need, but still really depressed over how things turned out
Getting deferred REA has given me hope throughout my entire college admissions process so even if i get rejected I won’t be devastated or mad (maybe just a little disappointed). I feel so thankful for that deferral for helping me not feel totally depressed when getting waitlisted/rejected to my ivies yesterday

Has anyone that was rejected/waitlisted by Ivies gotten into stanford…I’m asking cause I got rejected by all the Ivies I applied

I got rejected by 4 ivies lol
Got into Yale penn and Cornell. Rejected by Columbia. Lets see if Stanford works

@sunspair I am sorry that you have so much pressure from your parents. I know it is hard to remember sometimes, but they just want the best for you. Or, what they think is the best for you. College is what you make of it. Of course this is always easier to say since my daughter got into Stanford during ED. I truly believe that college should offer a foundation for learning and intellectual vitality, not just getting a good job. Many ivies and Stanford offer both opportunities, but so do other schools. For those who might be rejected, you will be fine. The world is a big place so find your place in it. There are many avenues to get there. Good luck everyone!

Hey guys, I just wanted to wish you good luck for the last time before I get off CC and go to the movies with a friend to distract myself from this whole thing. It was such a pleasure talking with you and getting to know you all, and I’m sure all of you will be fine no matter where you end up going. (Excuse the shabby writing because I’m writing this up really quickly on my phone before I sign off.) I really, really hope to see you guys all this fall at the Farm Thanks for the inspiration and such kind words of encouragement <3
