Rejected from all 5 ivies I applied to yesterday. God, reading 5 “we regret to inform you” letters in a row was really disheartening 
I’d hoped to get into at least one of them. Choosing between UMich and WUSTL if Stanford doesn’t work out (which it probably won’t, RIP). Good luck to everyone!
when is stanford releasing decisions?
Hey everyone! As for the interviews, I did receive one even though I applied on January 3rd so it must just be based on availability in your area. I won’t be receiving a decision today since I ended up deciding to accept my offer of admission from Uchicago and I withdrew my other applications, but good luck to you all!!

I was rejected by 5 Ivies too
Okay got rejected by all the ivies I applied to but got Berkeley!! At this point, I’m very happy with Berkeley and am fine with whatever way Stanford goes
I feel like I’m gonna be a disappointment to my family cause they expect me get into at least one top school

Congratulations to those who got into any schools. For those who have not gotten into an Ivy, congratulate yourself for saving your money, sanity, etc. For those who got into multiple ivies, please check your modesty and consideration.
Of course everyone who got into any school should be congratulated and commended, but that doesn’t mean that those who apply to and chose to attend ivies are less ethical or any less modest than those who don’t. There are snobby students with a superior complex at non-ivy and less reputed schools and very modest and considerate students at ivies. Truth be told that the people who will be attending ivies are some of the most humble people I know; bright students who have worked themselves hard to this position. Just because you do not prefer or are unable to go down this particular route does not mean you should denounce it.
I was rejected/waitlisted by all the ivies, but I got into Duke, so I’m pretty happy about it. Wouldn’t be too sad if Stanford says no to me.
Is it bad that I got rejected from 5 ivies, waitlisted at two, and still have a sliver of hope for Stanford? xD If I don’t get in I’ll either be attending Amherst, UCLA, or USC which is still awesome, but I just really want to get into ONE top tier… LOL
@anliu1999 Your last comment made me really sad. I’m sure you are a very good student. The definition of “top school” can be so skewed. If your family is disappointed, I’ll adopt you, as long as you apply yourself and put in your best effort wherever you go.
@qwertyem564 OMG … what is wrong with WUSTL & U Mich? They’re amazing schools. You’re doing great. The Ivy response stings but don’t let it defeat you. This admissions process is a crapshoot. It really is.
