I am speculating a couple of things. The interviewer contacted outside of the window mentioned in the website (Jan - mid feb). Could be
a. He/She missed this candidate from her list and had to quickly fix the mistake.
b. Stanford sent them new candidates due to various reasons with tighter deadlines.
c. Other reasons beyond my comprehension.

Either ways I am glad that the interview happened.

Hi all. My counselor told me today that Stanford emailed her asking for my mid-year report. I applied through common app, and she uploaded the report a long time ago. Does this mean anything? She did say it was a personalized email. Thanks to anyone who can answer.

if your stat good, activities unique (entrepreneurship etc.), then most likely you are lean to get there.

Any word (or hint even) of what day Stanford will release decisions, or do we still not know any more specific than ā€œearly Aprilā€?

I know the site still says Early April but do they ever do otherwise? Is there a historical pattern?

I thought I read somewhere that they tend to release the day after Ivy Day but a) I canā€™t remember where I read this and b) I have no idea how credible this is. It would be nice, though.

Could have sworn Stanford released its decision last year before Ivy Day. The kid from our HS who got in was in also at UCLA but had not heard from UCB and Harvard.

with all these reach school dates falling end of march, it really doesnā€™t matter which comes first, by april 5th all aplicants who donā€™t require FA will know, and by 5th May everybody will know where theyā€™re goingā€¦no?
