Stanford Class of 2028 Official Thread

last year there was some stanford portal astro (i think it also worked), is there any this year?

The best astrology is checking large last minute donations. If the family made a huge January/February public donation, the portal will say yes ;*)

what was the ‘tell’ ?

Something to do with your address listed in your portal I believe (but that may have been another year’s tell)

sorry sent by mistake

Stanford did announce at least one $10m+ donation from the family of an applicant in February

will the S24 get admitted?

that is crazy

What exactly with your address?

I think it was if you address was removed you were rejected and if it was still there you were accepted and something else meant you were waitlisted

So, is anybody’s address removed?

no. address still on the bottom under “Your Account.”

Mine is also still on the portal!

It only seemed to work a couple hours before decisions were released, but it was consistent for applicants in EA. Right now it’s too early.

No address + no update application = rejection

Address + update application = deferral/WL

Address + no update application = acceptance

this year as well? in EA? or are we talking about last year?

Yes, this is true, at least for last year and the year before. Check the Stanford Discord for more details.

Last year I got a Harvard interview but not a Stanford interview and I got rejected from Harvard but accepted to Stanford.
There’s just no way of knowing–the process is ineffable!

I didn’t apply to Harvard but I did apply to Stanford and I’m hoping that’s the case for me because I didn’t get an interview. However, I have really low expectations of an acceptance since they do reject a good amount of high stats and qualified kids.

Just rejected from USC

No interview from Stanford

Cali please let me in

Stanford’s interview are based on availability, not pre-screening.

Is 1530 SAT and 4.0 Unweighted GPA good enough for Stanford?
