what is the update in application?
âGood enoughâ is fairly meaningless above a certain threshold because the admit rate is still 4%. Stanford rejects many 4.0/1600 students. It also accepts a few 3.8/1500 students. Your stats are fine. But your chance for acceptance - if you are unhooked - is still only around 4%.
I see last year decisions dropped Friday 3/31. I wonder if this year will be Friday 3/29.
it is even low for me since iâm an international student.
yes, it most likely will be.
Why canât Stanford announce their decision date like everyone else? If all 8 ivies can agree to match their dates, why does Stanford Admision stay silent on their own date? It certainly isnât because Stanford AOs are still working away on 26th marchâŠ.
They want to keep you in suspense a bit longer
With the holistic review being promoted across the nation, itâs nearly impossible to say whatâs good and whatâs not.
Technically, the conditional probability that you will be admitted to Stanford given that you have a 4.0/1530 will be higher than 4%. Some data MIT published a few years ago showed that your chance of being admitted given that you had a 1500+ was 10%, much higher than their overall rate of 4%. Iâd assume Stanford to have something similar.
any portal stuffs?
it will probably come out a few hours before the decision comes outâŠAHH
Are decisions coming out this Friday?
yes, around 4-5 pm PT as indicated by previous years (always the last Friday of March)
Stanford often announces the decisions in the month of April.
no? my college counselor (ex-Stanford AO) says otherwise-- last friday of march.
Decisions will be out this Friday at 4PM.
Look at the history. IVY DAY, Stanford release

2022 Thursday, March 31 7 p.m. ET, 4/1

Great analysis, fingers crossed. Parents couldnât afford the 20million dollar donation, I am not strong enough an athlete for Stanford D1 Team ranked #2 in the nation, but I desperately want to interview to be the Tree.
ET or PT?
pacific time-- 7 pm ET.
Is that 10PM Eastern? Ugh! Going to be a long day.
