Hi,
I am an international student looking for advices.
First, could anyone tell me when is the deadline for an art or music teacher’s LoR for Stanford’s early action please (with optional arts portfolio)? Is it October 20th or November 1st?
Secondly, I got a 33 ACT composit score math 36 and Science 35. I badly managed my time for Reading and English so i am quite frustrated with the 33 composite. But it was already my third attempt. Do you know if a 4th attempt might negatively affect AO’s opinion regarding my application. And i will also have to update my ACT score on the portal before December 15th. Is it possible?
Thank you in advance for your help. :)))
Hi, can anyone that applied rea before please let me know if stanford rea asks for 9 week report? im so screwed if they actually do
Hi, has anyone received email for interview? My kid hasn’t received yet but his classmate got an email today.
Yesterday, my daughter got a text to set up an alumni interview. They’re meeting tomorrow after school for coffee.
Is it possible that a student might not have got an invite for alumni interview even if his peers got one and yet has been admitted?
Which state are you from? Pretty sure that makes the most difference in terms of interviews
The admissions website says that interviews are assigned based on alumni availability and a student is at no disadvantage if they aren’t offered an interview.
Did your daughter also get an email?
California
I think they’ve only communicated through text.
Ok thanks! Good luck to her on the interview :)!
In my experience (as an alumni interviewer for a different university), the most likely reason - and probably only reason - someone wouldn’t get an interview is that there aren’t enough alumni volunteers. Getting interviewers for early action/early decision (and being an interviewer for this group) is particularly challenging because the turn-around time for interviewers is so short. More likely than not, the person assigning candidates to interviewers only has contact information, and nothing they could even potentially use to screen based on qualifications. Good luck, and try not to stress about this! (And you may still be contacted.)
thank you for sharing your prespective, appreciate it
I received my request yesterday - they are still coming out! The interviewer said their reports are due 11/18 so it is possible the request can come anytime before that.
ok thanks for posting it. So far we didn’t receive any.
Daughter received interview invitation last night and is scheduled for 17th. Interviewer has until 18th to report it seems. We are from Texas, looks like they are still coming out
good luck to your daughter. we still haven’t received anything. somewhere I read they don’t interview kids in bay area who apply to CS major, not sure how far it’s true though.
Does anyone know the decision date for this year?
