i’m a sophomore, got a 1390 on the psat but i’m pretty sure they’re only really looking at reading and writing scores? (my writing score was 740, math score was not as good haha)
in terms of ecs/awards/volunteering, i’m debate captain and have national recognition for congressional debate. i’m also active in volunteering (teaching art to sick/hospitalized kids and their families), participated in litmags and poetry contests, and am a member of several relevant honors societies at my school (think NEHS and NFHS). i think my weighted gpa is around 4.83? my high school doesn’t do class rankings. i’m white (jewish) and female. didn’t apply for financial aid.
being real, i’m pretty sure the main reasons i got in were my personal essays and writing sample. also, i think it helped that my spike is kinda unique/matches with the courses i applied to (want to work in art history/classics as a museum curator and turns out the professor for my course also works in classics lol)
