Hi all,
Does anyone have experience with Stanford T&F recruiting? My daughter has pre reads back and official visits set for ivys, but is still waiting on Stanford. She has submitted all scores, transcripts to them, but does anyone know of timelines for official visits?

I can only speak to an XC/TF athlete, but OVs would take place late August-early October timeframe. I would assume T&F would be similar. This would be prior to their SCEA application deadline. This is a question your D should be asking of the coaches.

My experience is pretty dated at this point—different coaching staff and I think there were some changes to the process also. But fwiw Stanford was on the slow side with some of the pre-read and OV logistics for us. We learned later that the coaching staff was pretty busy off campus at the time. OV schedule was pretty typical at the time—mostly the fall but winter was an option iirc.

I agree with checking with the coach for the best info. They do have an 800 runner going to Paris though so it’s possible head coach and some staff are focused on that.

I had a kid that was recruited for T&F by the Ivy’s and Stanford. The Ivy timelines and commitments with the LL & ED/EA, were earlier than Stanford and other D1s and the non-Ivy coaches seemed to understand that.
Not sure if this would help, but if Stanford is in play, due to the accelerated timeline and commitment with the Ivy’s, our kid made an early fall visit to Stanford and the coach was very helpful. They had a full day at the school, met with the coach, detailed tour, they got to sit in on classes and meet with other kids, etc. This allowed them to get a better feel for Stanford.
I would see if your daughter could get some direction or input from the coach on the timeline and commitment of the Ivy’s vs Stanford.

Remember that Stanford has a different academic schedule and a later start in fall, so if the point of the OV is to experience the school, that has to happen later.
