any insights on the extended WL? how many are usually placed on it, whatās the chances of getting off, etc.
i may be entirely spitballing but based on the number of people iāve seen placed on the extended waitlist (6), it does not seem all that selective? additionally (this is me speculating), any additions to the class at this point are likely to replace students committing to Stanford who were accepted off the waitlist at some other strong school
where did you see 6? if itās a mix of cc and reddit then there definitely may be overlap
Not to seem overly-optimistic, but if the # truly is 6, isnāt that a pretty small/selective list?
i will admit that there is some level of selection bias, but considering among the people that are on CC and reddit, i have seen this many, it would suggest that there are considerably more. iād say that of the WL people i have seen, ~20% remain based off this observation (which again suffers from selection bias)
not to be a debby downer, but considering they have released this WL info, it would suggest they already have filled the class according to their yield, and any additions would be from those foregoing their deposit.
i saw someone on reddit say they have until this sunday to reply to stanfordās offer (the person is choosing between stanford and brown), so new openings on the extended waitlist may also depend on the outcomes of these extensions. does anyone here care enough to write a short loci or are we just gonna let the stanford gods decide our fates?

For those that got accepted via waitlist, what is the deadline to commit to Stanford? DS is in the extended waitlist, so trying to gauge what the situation might be like. I know July is very near 
got accepted off the extended waitlist yesterday afternoon. already committed but deadline was July 10.
