Now that’s how to start a game. Fifteen seconds and it’s 1-0 Pens. :)

Less than a minute in on the Wings game and we got a penalty.

And Bertuzzi picked a fight with Weber. Good job :)

You’ve got to be enjoying this game, romani. Beautiful goal by Emmerton!

I am indeed. And yes it was
!

I watched a little of the Terrible Goaltenders in Pennsylvania game. Not exactly a tight-checking defensive battle.

^^That game was ridiculous. I love a wide open game as much as anyone but that was just plain crazy. I did enjoy what I saw of the LA/Vanc game. I knew that Quick would be amazing if the Kings could manage to score some goals for him. 46 saves!

tonight, I am happier.

Bah.

Bah. Also, feh. :(

I’m feeling better, too. :)

I like a back and forth series, rather than a sweep. I think it’s more exciting to watch and it’s also good for hometown fans to see their team win some games. What I haven’t liked in many of these games is the nastyness and cheap shots. I think Shanahan made a mistake in not sitting Weber down for a couple of games. Last night’s games seemed to be open season and if he doesn’t do something soon, I worry that someone is going to be seriously hurt. The referees seem unwilling or incapable of doing their job.

It wouldn’t break my heart if the Canucks got swept.

notrichenough… I am trying to feel sympathy for you, but considering the last decade in New England sports, I think you guys are doing pretty well up there and should consider letting someone else have a turn =). My poor Caps have zero stanley cups and DC hasn’t had a sports championship since 92 (not including DC United).

The Pens/Flyers series is a disaster. I enjoyed watching Crosby only start throwing punches after the linesman came in to hold the other guy so he couldn’t fight back. Classless.

Criesby is such a waste. Yeah, he’s a good player, but I really have no tolerance for crybabies and cowards. He ruins his talent- and he does have a LOT of talent.

Both of my teams lost tonight. Pooh :(. But my Tigers won :D

Well, we did have to wait 40 years for the Bruins, 86 years for the Red Sox, 25 years for the Celtics, and the Patriots had never won.

So we put in our time. :D

Let someone else have a turn? No chance. This ain’t kindergarten.

Bruins are a bit banged up, so they are vulnerable. I don’t know if Thomas can play every single playoff game, especially if they keep going to overtime. So they are vulnerable. Whoever’s 1st line wakes up first will be the difference.

Since I haven’t seen them mentioned yet:

Let’s Go, Devils!

(one more for Marty Brodeur!)

Caps let that one get away tonight, IMO. Could be the win that gives the Bruins what they need to take the series.

Sorry if anyone is a Penguins fan, but I’m really hoping for a sweep.

I love James Neal, and I’ve known him since he started playing for the Whalers when he was ~16, but I’m not entirely a huge fan of what he’s become. Too dirty of a player, even for this fight-loving hockey girl.

Unfortunately for Backstrom (and the Caps) the amount of chippiness and other cheap crap in some of the other series (hello, Flyers/Pens) is getting to the point where Shanahan is going to start handing out suspensions.

It was a cheap shot, and even though it was not the worst we’ve seen, it could be a case of “wrong place, wrong time”.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Backstrom sits for a game, and that will really hurt the Caps.

Not that I mind. :D

Three cheers for CBC and Don Cherry!
