Stanley Cup playoffs 2013!

Chicago’s got them right where they want them. ;)

This is embarrassing. This is the same crap that’s plagued us all season. Howard has ZERO help in front. Our defense in front of the goal is just … well I can’t even call it terrible since it doesn’t exist.

Gooooaaaallll!, Hawks! :)

Don’t be embarrassed, Romani. The Hawks really are the best team in hockey this year. There have been years when it was brutal watching Detroit dissect us.

Needless to say, we are pleased. I would link the song, but it’s a utube.

^ youtube links are allowed now, so feel free to rub it in. :D

That was ugly for the Red Wings.

I just feel bad for Howard. :(

[Chicago Blackhawks Goal Song - YouTube](<a href=“Chicago Blackhawks Goal Song - YouTube”>Chicago Blackhawks Goal Song - YouTube)

Woot!! I did find the game mid-way through the 2nd period. Crawford had 34 saves, I think.

Anyhow, may the better team tomorrow win.

Go Hawks. And the Cubs beat the turds 7-0.

The Stanley Cup rings that are given to players have diamonds on them. A lot of diamonds.
[Hawks are NHL’s ring masters - Chicago Tribune](<a href=“Hawks are NHL's ring masters”>Hawks are NHL's ring masters)

“The individual rings, valued at about $30,000, are 14-carat white gold weighing 91.0 grams, with 404 diamonds and gemstones totaling approximately 8 carats. They were handed out to players, coaches, equipment managers, trainers and medical staff Wednesday night during a private ceremony at a downtown restaurant.”

Question is, if the Hawks are so good, why are they in Game 7? The other three teams are the 5, 6 and 7 seeds, so we aren’t surprised they are playing Game 7, but why are the Hawks there?

You know what? I’m actually quite pleased with this whole series and have very few complaints. I think we have about a 10% chance of actually advancing but we forced the Hawks to a game seven as a 7th seed. After hearing about how great they were for the last several months, that is satisfying enough.

We need a regrouping year or two. We’ll be back :)

The chance is much higher than that, rom. Howard could steal the game, or the Wings could get lucky. You’re probably too young to remember it, but I remember the first time the Sharks were in the playoffs. They were just not a good team at all, barely made the playoffs as the 8 seed, but they managed, miraculously, to oust the President’s Trophy-winning Wings in 7.

Anything can happen in the playoffs.

Oh, I’m well aware, CF. I’m just trying not to get my hopes up ;).

I don’t remember the Sharks knocking us out but I remember Edmonton doing the same thing to us :(

For sure anything can happen, and that goes double when it’s a Chicago/Detroit match up.

^ Indeed.

As long as neither city burns, let’s call it a success. :p

I’m with you on that one. :)

Same here! I hope I get the channel it’s on. I think I only had it Monday as a freebie mistake.

call them up. Sometimes they will work something out with you.

Good luck.

Well, I have the channel on now, watching 36. It’s about the Hawks, and the guide says Sharks/Kings are next. Maybe I had it all along and just didn’t know. Heaven knows I pay enough!

According to yahoo, the game will be on both TSN (The Sports Network) and NBCS (NBC Sports).

NBCS has been showing a lot of games, and when two are on at once sometimes they move one to CNBC, in my area anyway.
