Stanley Cup playoffs 2013!

Oh my goodness. Outshot 17-2 and the Kings have a 1-0 lead at the end of 20.

I had to go get a prescription refill before my local pharmacy closed. 0-1 when I left, 2-1 when I returned. I feel robbed, but yay!

don’t like the whiner Crosby…GO Bruins!!

Relieved! Not nearly the intensity of the last game with the Wings, but a W nonetheless.

Now for the Bruins.

NBCSN needs to pump up the crowd noise…their broadcasts dulls the game

Congrats to the Hawks! I didn’t see the whole game because my granddaughter was here for dinner and she’s much more fun than a hockey game. :)

I’ll never understand why the Pens keep a player like Matt Cooke. Ugh.

why are Pens fans booing an obvious boarding call? Cooke is a changed man?..right,dirty SOB

Ah, the refs missed that interference on the 2 on 1. Wow.

and the punk Crosby elbows Rask after the period is over…

Bergeron is a terrible fighter. That was awful.

The Bruins have blown so many 3rd period leads this year… I have no confidence at all.

How is that Marchand hit different than the one by Cooke?

Malkin should not be fighting. Bylsma needs to calm these guys down.

Cooke ran at him - he took at least three steps and smashed him into the boards.

Marchand shoved him as he skated by. He stumbled and that’s why he hit the boards. Marchand didn’t run at him.

Not the same level of infraction IMO.

I could be biased. ;)

Boarding doesn’t require the taking of steps, or taking a run. The ref does have discretion as to whether it’s a minor or a major penalty, I understand that, and although I am definitely not a fan of Cooke, I think he probably draws the major simply because of who he is.

Too many turnovers and some very sloppy play. Looks like we may be seeing Fleury after all.

Don’t poke the Bear!!

Sure, but it makes a difference in the severity of the penalty.

Maybe Cooke’s reputation hurt him, but I thought there was a clear difference in the deliberateness and severity between Cooke’s penalty and Marchand’s.

Marchand PUSHED a guy that was 3-4 feet from the boards…totally different hit…not even close

To me Neal took a little dive to get the call. He barely got to the board and it was on a little of an angle not straight into the board. And he definitely looked back as if to see if he did get the call and definitely did not get hurt, not even closed to how fast Cooke came in right on the back and pushed straight into the board head first.

I have to say that the games so far in this round have been somewhat unsatisfying. They always say that the third round is kind of boring and that people tend to ignore it now until the finals, and maybe that’s part of what I’m feeling. I did, however, have some fun today and out in the fresh air! Went to the game between the Canadian and American ladies’ soccer teams. A friendly game on a beautiful afternoon. We have a great soccer stadium here in Toronto and it was sold out, so all in all, a pretty perfect afternoon.

alwaysamom,

For me, that 7th Wings/Hawks game was just so exciting, the later ones have been a letdown. Of course, I’m thrilled with the win and knocking Quick out of goal.

Go Hawks!

I’m glad the game you went to was sold out. Those ladies play some nice soccer.

Yeah, wasn’t real boring at the Stadium, that’s for sure. Plenty of fun when even the goalie has to step into the middle of the fight. ;)

I heard the Canadian women’s fans were still a little bit upset over the last US win and were counting down on the kicks. Kind of feisty for Canadians.
