<p>^Respectfully disagree. The Original Series is the way to go. The special effects certainly aren’t as good as TNG (although pretty darn good for the 1960s), but the story plots can’t be beat. CBS has put most of the episodes on YouTube where you can watch them (with just a few commercials) for free. Highly recommended episodes include The Menagerie, Arena, Space Seed, The City on the Edge of Forever, The Doomsday Machine, The Trouble With Tribbles, A Piece of the Action, The Enterprise Incident, Spectre of the Gun, The Tholian Web, Requiem for Methuselah (my personal favorite) and many more.
