Hi everyone! I’m in my Junior year and trying to start a Model UN team. Is there a website I need to register my team on? Also, are there any starter conferences in New York State (preferably upstate)?
Model UN isn’t an officially registered club. You only need to get school authorization to start a club. You will need to register for conferences if you intend to compete. I am not aware of many “starter” conferences in New York, but I would suggest CMUNNY (Columbia Model UN) as an eventual goal. It’s not the most competitive, but it is renowned for its high quality topics and wide breadth of committee interests.
