Starting at a smaller school

Since I plan to pursue my degree in sacred music, I would love to start at a small baptist school. ouachita, thanks to an incredible visit and full scholarship, remains at the top of the list. any opinions on the program here. i know musical theatre is phenomenal, but what about vocal. Other schools I’m looking at for sacred music:Samford, Mercer, maybe Baylor(a little too big and not as much of a Christian environment as Id like)

Don’t know any vocal students, but a friend of my S’s graduated from Mercer with an Organ degree, and loved his time there.

Samford is a fine music school, very strong vocal students and faculty, and they all get along very well. Birmingham would offer more of the advantages culturally of larger city. Good luck.

former president of ouachita, who i got to meet, invited me to come out to birmingham, so im flying out from dfw friday
