<p>Okay, so my school required that I take a state wide biology competency test last year because I took biology I honors as a freshman. I live in New Jersey. Does anybody know if these results will follow me to college? Does anybody know what a good score is? I received a 299, the highest our of everybody I’ve asked in all of my classes. Will this benefit me in any way or is this test irrelevant? Is 299 a high score, or just apparently high for my high school? Any other information about the test?</p>
<p>I also live in Jersey, and I don’t remember ever receiving my score for that. I took it two and a half years ago. It was probably kept in my records and never touched again. Since HSPA scores don’t do much for college apps, I don’t think this does either. But ask the administration in your school. I’m assuming the grading scale is like the NJASK in that it’s out of 300, so your score sounds awesome. Maybe your school board will give you an award.</p>
<p>Okay, that helps out a bit. I hope it was out of 300, that would imply that I did a good job. If you go to the Brick schools, you can find definitely find your scores on Naviance if not from your guidance counselor if you’re interested.</p>
