State funded Scholarships?? virginia

I am considered instate in virginia but live and go to school OOS. In my state we have state funded scholaships like palmetto scholaship, and hope scholarships which require u to have certain sat scores and gpa and you automatically receive the scholarship.

Does Virginia have anything like this?

The state of Virginia doesn’t have a scholarship program like Georgia’s.

I guess you could consider the reduced tuition rate for in-state students as a scholarship. It costs considerably more than that rate to educate you at UVa. :)

ah not the answer i was hoping for. i live in SC currently which if i was still considered instate i would be able to go to USC for just a couple thousand a year with just the state scholarships. Thanks for the reply, true the reduced rate for instate students is nice to have considering how good of a school uva is but still its around 20k total. ill think of something
