Stats for "forwarded to committee review" statuses?

For those of the applicants who have the status change…mind posting stats? We (or maybe just me) could all be looking into the status change too much (notice the 101 posts on the other thread), but it would be nice to see who of the applicants have received the status change.

I got the “Your application has been forwarded for committee review,” even though my stats are far from stellar… (but I’m crossing my fingers!:)

All of the stats posted above are stellar, the status change ALMOST CERTAINLY implies that you will get good news soon. Furthermore, it indicates that you are contending for the big scholarships — congrats.

banmaisen — while the SAT may not be top-of-the-line, the class rank more than makes up for it. May schools put far more weight on class rank that a one-time effort like SAT.

Here are my son’s stats:

can everyone include the date they got the status update as well?

I found out yesterday: 01/22

To help others in the future, you may want to add your intended major/school within USC, too. Some schools (Thornton, Theatre, other talent-based, audition-based) may reward students with the slightly lower numerical stats.

You are all wonderfully impressive students. I wish you good news very soon!

Could you guys list the first letter of your last name, in case they are doing it alphabetically? Thank you

Last name starts with H and I applied to Viterbi. I don’t know when I found out - I checked it a few days ago and that’s when I saw the status saying my app had been forwarded to committee for review. Before that I probably checked it a total of three times.

Did any Marshall applicants receive status updates?

Ah I see. I am National Merit and have similar stats as the people who posted here, but my status hasn’t changed. I am worried

Me too Saitsuzen. Maybe we are reading too much into the status updates?

I applied to Marshall and got the “forwarded to committee review” status. Last name= A… So maybe it is alphabetical (maybe).

Status Change: Yes

SAT2: USH (720), Math 2(710)
GPA: 4.08 W
Rank: 1/245
AP’s: APUSH 5, AP Lit 4, Cal AB, Eng lang, Bio

my stats=not too great though

This is what mine says:

“Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don’t receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th.”

Is this what everyone else is seeing?
