Stem Scholarship?

Yesterday I received something from hesc about the stem scholarship I applied for. It seemed like a great offer for those students majoring in STEM (I am a bio major) until I read that future medical professions are not “currently approved occupations” for fulfilling the work requirement after graduation. This is really upsetting to me; medicine incorporates all aspects of STEM to help improve the lives of human beings, why aren’t medical professions approved?

The purpose of the scholarship is for people to work in STEM professions after college. You do not have to major in STEM in order to attend med school. If you use the scholarship with the purpose of going to med school and don’t work in the approved occupations, you will have to repay all of the monies.
