I was looking for my favorite Irish porridge oats, and I found a site called the English Tea Store.
Ordered a couple of infusers and infusing mugs as gifts. D2’s new H loves coffee, and I figure he can use the glass infusing tea travel mug for cold brew coffee too. A bit large for a stocking stuffer, but almost!
I stocked up on the SpongeDaddy today, one of my favorite things and an easy stocking stuffer. I also picked up cute veggie scrubbers that my kids could all use and probably don’t have. I need to go back up through this thread- lots of good ideas!
If she just needs a power adapter, there are lots of options. The Rick Steve’s website sells an adapter for $1 (but no doubt they will charge for shipping).
If your phone or laptop’s power supply isn’t dual voltage (I think most are), you’ll need to buy a voltage converter.
Well, the braided thread with threader and needle are being well received so far. The two people I’ve given them to are thrilled and one of my board members was very excited when I told her I was giving them to board members today.
My D’s could all use an iphone portable/backup battery but they use tiny purses. One doesn’t even carry a purse. She has a wallet on the back of her phone so I don’t even know what kind of battery would work for her. Any suggestions for either the no purse or very tiny purse? I have one but it’s not particularly compact; none of my kids would use it. Maybe something that connects to a key chain?
I got a travel charger/power bank for H, and it is 10,000 mAh, rather than the 1500 mAh of the travel card. His phone uses lots of juice!
I got it at CVS for $25 or so. It’s not huge, about the size of the travel card but 15 mm thick and has two out-ports and can be used by Apple and/or Android phones. The brand name is PowerXcel.
I’m planning on purchasing window cleaning cloths for everyone’s stockings this year - we have the ecloth window cleaning pack, but DH stole it & keeps it in his car to wipe of the grime/film that ends up on the inside of the windshield. So I figure with everyone with their own car now, this will make a nice addition to the stocking & useful, too!
@HImom those wine markers wash off with regular dishwashing liquid. If you use water based regular markers, the print comes off on your hands. If you use a permanent marker, you need to use acetone or something to get the marker off the glass.
The wine markers also come in silver, gold, and metallic look pinks, greens, lavenders and blues.
We think they are terrific…and they so easily wash off the wine glasses.
Wirecutter suggests grease or china pencils instead of the wine glass pens. The article suggests they are more versatile, as they also mark plastic cups, etc. It’s nice having options. The grease pencils don’t dry out or run out of ink. They do have a smaller color palate for the artists.
