Stocking Stuffers - 2025 edition

I used to collect the shampoo, etc. and give them to my step-d. I also got lots of “free” make-up stuff during the year (Clinique bonus, samples, etc.) I would wrap those up for Christmas and she loved it.

I use my immersion blender to make mayo all the time. It’s easier and easier to clean than the Vitamix.

I brought home candies that were set out at breakfast time in Italy. Everyone is getting a piece of Italian candy.

I use mine all of the time, this is my third and favorite.

I prefer my Hamilton beach.

Sure, I also upgraded to a Bamix, but neither Hamilton Beach or Bamix were asked about. The poster wanted to know which of the two linked ones she should get.

My daughter’s blender died in the middle of pesto making season. She used her immersion blender to make her pesto (she was making a lot) and it worked just fine!

You can use it to make smoothies!

I’m late getting on this thread and didn’t read through all the posts so pardon if this has been mentioned but I got a set of the tracking cards (like air tags but in credit card shape and size) that you stick in your wallet like a credit card. It is trackable using FindMy in iPhone app and it also makes a loud buzzing noise so you can find it in your own home (where’d I leave my wallet?)! This brand comes 2 to a pack so my husband and local son get one - I still have an airtag in the zipper part of my wallet. OMG! I just looked up my order to post a link and it’s selling for $99 for the 2 pack when I bought it for $31 on November 25??? Wow - here is the link but I’d look elsewhere for a better price. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FGV4DJPB?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

Here’s another one at lower price, don’t know if it is identical but worth a look if interested: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DRBBJSK6/ref=syn_sd_onsite_desktop_0?ie=UTF8&pd_rd_plhdr=t&aref=NzBt7B98EA&th=1

Oh I love those, I bought one for everyone’s stocking a few years ago and we use them all the time. They are super great for a late night warm milk with caramel cream and stevia frothed up just like a Starbucks Hot Vanilla Creamer. My husband uses his to whip up his instant iced tea when I don’t brew it for him.

I understand, this one replaced my cuisinart, and it’s so much easier to use with the button placement, it’s like a trigger.

I had a bit of a field day at the NYT store, picking up fun things like mugs and hats for the various puzzlers in the family. Also fun little crossword books, etc.

The Spelling Bee logo stuff is just plain cheery and fun, even though it’s noone’s favorite game.

Some of it is a tad bulky for a stocking, but we’ll try to make it work! Given the interest in the puzzles here on CC, this might scratch an itch!

As an aside, I find that we sort of rarely hang our stockings post filling anyway! The stuff doesn’t fit in perfectly or I’m too worried the stocking hangers aren’t going to hold the (reasonable) weight and that they will crash to the floor!

Stockings need to actually be box shaped, lol

I have decided to not do stockings for the kids this year. I’ve filled huge stockings for them for years, and they just don’t need or want what I would normally put in them. They own their own homes and can easily afford to buy supplies for the house, one is taking a GLP-1 so doesn’t want chocolate/food stuff, 3 lbs. of See’s candy is a “real gift” for one, and they are getting nice bigger presents. It’s hard for me to let it go, and I’m thinking if/when grandkids come along we may go back to stockings. BUT, it’s another tradition I’m letting go of for now :frowning:

Good for you. I think it can make sense to part with certain traditions when they are no longer bringing joy to the givers/receivers.

Those are great! Brought one to Europe the last time. Can sit it on a table if needed. Great size to pop in a small cross body bag. Seriously lasts forever.

I was gifted one of these and thought it was ridiculous. LOVE IT! I burn a candle every night when I clean up the kitchen to get rid of cooking smells and for atmosphere :). Replaced the long handled lighter I had. Takes up no space and charge lasts forever. Bought one for each stocking this year. Rechargeable lighter

You have to read the room. I went up to my youngest’s closet after he left for school and he had a couple of years of Christmas presents in there (dressy flannel shirts, quilted vest, quilted barn jacket etc.). Other kids wear that. He does not. Of course he is the one with no suggestions either!!! Kudos to you for adapting!

I have one whose taste is a mystery to me. He seems to like very nice things but is just as happy to dress from the lost and found. What remains when he leaves is always interesting. And sometimes, those items go home with him a year or two later! And occasionally, DH ends up the beneficiary!

I still like doing stockings even though my “kids” don’t necessarily care, except for the scratch off lottery tickets and Lego minifigure. Things that get left behind become mine to use or donate to someone who appreciates them. This year I found a $3 avocado masher at Marshall’s that I think I will pair with an avocado in the stocking of older son who does love his guac.

I do stockings for whichever kids(s) are at the house. But it’s mostly food. Trader Joes and World Market have some interesting little food items. Whether there is a stocking or not, there are gold coins… chocolate orange sections too. Our tradition has been stockings opened before a nice breakfast. So one day a year, they opted for breakfast “fruit” that was really chocolate.
