Tuition only. OOS is ~$27k/year, 4 year total is ~$110k. Not bad. I believe it is the highest SB offer, at least for this round.
Thoughts of pre med at SB? We are instate - DS got accepted with small pestilential scholarship. When will honors program notifications come?

My child received Provostial Scholarship for 4 years tuition coverage(OOS) , amount is not enclosed in the letter.
I guess honors college will come out later?
The other living cost seems around $20k/year?

My son’s Portal page says that Honors decisions are usually mid-March.
i applied to stony brook on 10/30/19 and i still have not heard anything. I have a 93 unweighted and 97 weighted gpa but i have a low act score which is a 23. I took all honors and took 5 APs and did well in the classes. I have a lot of extra curricular’s like getting my Gold award in Girl a scouts, varsity lacrosse starting player for all 4 years, volunteered at a hospital for 105 hours, shadowed a PA, working 2 jobs at once, played volleyball for 2 years, a junior firefighter at my local fire department, joined my school’s red cross club, varsity leaders club, and class council, and have been apart of National Honor Society. i’m getting nervous that I won’t get in because of how low my act score is, i’ve trier retaking it but i’m a terrible test taker and get really really bad anxiety. Can anyone tell me what they think will happen?
@jsebok - Did you try contacting them and/or provide more info? like mid term grade etc? Show them you are really interested in attending

My DS received an email about the presidential scholarship yesterday. It just says “Presidential Scholarship with an annual value of full-time NYS tuition for 4 years”. Does anyone know whether it covers the course fees, which is about $3000, as well?
in my school my mid-year grades don’t come out until friday so i can send it out then but is it worth sending if on my portal it says that they’re reviewing my application right now. It has said that for almost a month now and when my friend got that update on her portal she heard back a week later
Where on the portal did it say it was being reviewed…? My daughter applyed at the end of Oct and still no word… 
when i scroll down on my portal it’s says Application Status:
your application is complete and under review by the admissions committee… and so on. i also got an email from them saying the same thing about two weeks ago
I just checked her page… there’s no “application status”… ughhhh

Wonder how SBU reviews the applications. Some applications took so long, but we heard from them in just two weeks…
@amyny2002 We haven’t heard back from SBU yet because our high school just sent the mid-year report to SBU last week.
I don’t think the mid-year report is necessary though. Our school just sent it last week too.
