Good news- no flooding at ds#2s. Guess they didn’t need those old sandbags, which appear to have been there for eons. </p>

<p>Wow. Nice and dry so far here in my neck of the woods. On the day you guys were pounded by the storm, we had the weirdest weather, too - a thunderstorm rolled through the area.</p>

<p>The thing about 2-4 inches of rain in the Bay area vs Texas is the hills. That 2-4 inches runs down hill and the streets and homes in the valleys get inundated. </p>
<p>It better start getting colder, it’s friggin December!</p>
<p>Not according to my dog’s coat! I had to break out the Furminator as she is shedding out her undercoat again. Who needs it?</p>
<p>My dogs coat is very short, it’s nice for me after having a black lab who left her fur everywhere, but he has an assortment of coats that he even sleeps in, so he doesn’t get cold.
I see it is getting colder in the mts, as long as it’s between 15-25f, Im good, warmer than that and the snow can start to get mushy. Colder and it freezes my lungs.</p>

<p>I guess you’ve never been to Austin. It’s an area prone to flash floods precisely due to the hills (and very dry topography due to many droughts they’ve been through).</p>
<p>I haven’t - I was responding to another poster who wondered why large volumes of rain aren’t an issue where he/she is from (which I take to be Texas based on the football thread). Maybe he’s from the flat part. I guess Austinites (Austinians) don’t want to be lumped in with the rest of Texas even when it comes to weather ;)</p>
<p>Well… All this rain and grayness has taught me I can’t live in areas where gray skies are common. :)</p>
