<p>I’m looking for a dentist in Charlottesville who’s good for UVA students. The student health plan doesn’t seem to cover dentists, and I’ve got student loans to pay, but I’d like a dentist who’s great and understands students, esp. those of us on student aid. Anyone have any recommendations?</p>

<p>My brother and I always just wait until we come home for the holidays, but maybe that isn’t an option for you? :</p>
<p>For basic stuff like this it may be easier to stay within the UVa Hospital services. I had to see an orthopedic, allergist, and dermatologist for various “emergent”-type visits where Student Health couldn’t treat me and had to send me on (ugh, broken bone, weird scary rash, and blowout sinus infection…oh, and an ER visit to round it all out fourth year hahah). Haven’t been disappointed in any single one and they treat students real well as a good number are UVa grads of some type.<br>
It’s a teaching hospital too so I had medical students sit in on the various doctor office visits (with my permission of course) and I liked that my conditions (and stupidity in terms of the broken bone) helped further their education. Just my two cents…</p>
