Suggestions for a "Yoga/Gym" bag for 27 year old Daughter

I need to order it today to have this weekend if possible!!!

Looking for a bag she can take to various fitness classes she goes to - I’ve seen some “yoga bags” that are probably a good size but I didn’t like the styling. She doesn’t need to bring toiletries/towels and stuff, just maybe her shoes, water bottle, hand towel, etc. Don’t want a gym/duffel type bag - most are too big. I’m thinking something more along a tote but with inner pockets, room for a water bottle, etc. No Vera Bradley. Preferably under $50.

I’ve checked local TJMaxx and Target. I suppose I could check some place like Dick’s Sporting Goods but also sometimes hate those big box stores! Browsed a bit online, but I keep getting distracted with other stuff!!!

Here are a couple I was looking at:

My younger D likes this one but I think it’s too big for D1’s purposes. I have an Athleta bag and it’s HUGE!:

Abasket, I would make sure the bag is easily machine-washable. Other than that, if she does not have to carry it around, any bag would do. If she needs something more presentable, here is a Lulu option - on sale (still pricy, but looks great, has raving reviews, and is functional):

My D is a major yoga fanatic and likes a very minimal bag. She uses an Adidas “sackpack” which we got at Sports Authority. There’s a bunch of different styles available but I’ve linked an example below. The sackpack plus a yoga mat strap and she’s all set.

I don’t have any suggestions but my D goes regularly to the gym and to yoga and just takes her backpack.

@abasket of the ones you linked to, I like the Adidas one.

Here are some, but several cost a little more than you were striving for spending…

My daughter plays basketball and loves her Nike Backpacks. She has two. It frees her hands to carry/do other stuff. Probably bigger than you want and more expensive, but maybe worth a look.

Here are a bunch under $50 and Zappos ships for free and they are very quick…

I too like the Adidas one best of the bags linked in the abasket’s post.

I do like the Lululemon bag and this Athleta one - http://athleta.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=489191002&vid=1&locale=en_US&kwid=1&sem=false&sdkw=totes-dorbs-P489191&sdReferer=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.athleta.com%2Fproducts%2Fyoga-and-sports-bags.jsp

She would want something more “adult” and not a duffle I believe. I personally like the Adidas one as well. Will mull over it a little more…and BB thanks for the thought on washable - great point! Or at least wipe-able!!

I like the Dakine bags - I have a “small” one I use for the gym then a set I use when I travel. Really durable, but I wouldn’t put them in the washing machine. They come in all sorts of patterns and are fun.

I think the Lululemon bag in the link is the one D has. She loves it.

D3 loves this one she bought. Not under $50 though.

I like the lulu lemon bag, but not being returnable may be a concern.

It is a WMTM item… So yes, no returns, but if it is obviously defective, Lulu usually will bend the rule and exchange or refund as gift card (if they run out of bags), but if there is nothing wrong with it, just not what you wanted, then Lulu will not issue a refund.

I use one of those reusable bags they sell at the grocery store for $1. Nice size, easy to carry.

Lol, dmd. To think about it, I like the Lulu shopping bags that the store gives out with a purchase. Big ones work great as gym or beach bags, and my freebie cooler from Bloomberg fits nicely inside a small Lulu shopper, which creates a great lunch bag. That said, if a person needs to haul things in the rain, on public transport, etc., a sturdier bag is quite warranted.

My D uses her Longchamp tote or a Lulu shopping bag.

And if it’s a birthday or Christmas gift, something more than the dollar store or Lulu shopper bag is warranted!!!

I didn’t decide for sure yet. There are certain things I like to see in person. I have a little shopping time tomorrow or I might just hold off and make it a Christmas gift to give me more time to find the “perfect” one!
