I need a new pair of jeans. I hate looking for jeans almost as much as I hate looking for swimsuits. The last couple pair I bought had some stretch in the fabric and after two hours the crotch is sagging to my knees! I don’t care for the new low cut styles. I wish my butt still looked cute in the Levi straight legs from my college days, but sadly this is no longer the case!

Christopher Blue. Expensive, and full of lycra-- you have to buy them VERY TIGHT. But they look great and continue to look great, last and last…and there are different waist heights etc. They’re not ‘mom jeans’ and they don’t look too young either.

If your a mom, look in dept stores for NYDJ-Not Your Daughters Jeans. I love them. They fit well, the don’t look all stretched out at the end of the day, and they are not so low. [Not Your Daughter’s Jeans](http://www.nydj.com/#/home/collection/jeans/). They are pricey. I bought the first pair on a sale rack. After that, the second pair was full price. They were WORTH IT.

I love my Not Your Daughters Jeans. You need to try them on as there is great variation in sizes between styles. They are the only jeans I have that fit great and look good everywhere on me. They have stretch, but not too much. They are expensive though, over $100 per pair unless you can find them on sale. I have two identical pairs of black jeans and I wear them all the time.

I also have Ralph Lauren jeans but I prefer my NYDJ.

There is a lot of jeans discussion on the Dressing Young thread in the Cafe.

sunnyflorida and I posted at exactly the same time! I also have a pair of cute cropped jeans with rolled-up bottoms from NYDJ. I love them too, very comfortable, though my H hates the look.

Citizens of Humanity “Ingrid 002” are nice as are Seven for All Mankind “Kimmie.” Both are a little higher cut, but they still have a stylish line. Both also have 2% spandex, so they don’t stretch out after a few hours of wearing. You should still buy them snug, but not tight, because the fit will really maintain, even after a few wearings without washing in between.

Both styles have a curved, higher waist in back, so that when you sit down, your butt doesn’t hang out - the “Kimmie” are higher in back than the “Ingrid 002.” Both are boot cut - the most flattering leg. Saks sells them.

By the way, Christopher Blue are most definitely “mom” jeans. The legs are too straight - there is no flare at the hem, and they are also a little too high waisted so that you actually have to worry about them fitting at the waist - most jeans need to fit at the hip and thighs only. Yes, they are really comfortable, but they don’t have a sophisticated look. I wish they would improve them.

I find that NYDJ and David Kahn jeans ([David Kahn Jeanswear - Home](http://www.davidkahnjeanswear.com)) fit my body type well; both can be found at Nordstrom Rack for $30-$60. David Kahns are made of exceptionally good quality denim, and even though they are sold in the misses departments, they are not your typical “mom jeans”!

Thanks - I looked at the NYDJ and they have them on the Macy’s website ($98), so I won’t have to run downtown to Saks. I am excited because they come in a 33" inseam. I will also look at the Christopher Blue, but for that I have to run to the Mall of America and I try to avoid that place.

It is funny that I would spend $70 for my son’s Hollister jeans, but I have been wearing the $30 Lee’s from Kohls. Time to re prioritize!

I wear Old Navy skinny Diva jeans quite a bit- I think they may run on the short side- I am 5’3" and I wear the regular length ( these were my D’s I think they were too short for her). $29.
I also like Lucky and Seven for all Mankind Josefina- but @ $215 for the Seven jeans, Old Navy gets the win.

I just came back from Macys and bought three pair of Not Your Daughters Jeans. They fit so well and I like that I could bend over and not worry about my mom body parts sticking out. They were $100 each but well worth it.

Another vote here for NYDJ. I had stopped wearing jeans for a few years because they just didn’t fit or feel as well anymore. Then I discovered NYDJ and now they are my favorites by a long shot. Well worth the price.

Funny that Old Navy would be mentioned. I have a pair of the Diva jeans not the skinny style but a wider leg style for weekend wear and love them. Bought them on a lark because they fit and were cheap, but later went and got another pair as a back-up. I won’t wear them to work or anywhere other than errands/grocery, etc., because I prefer the “dressier” style jeans, but for everyday jeans I was very pleasantly surprised.

I used to love Lucky jeans. I have found that the last few pairs I have bought are not as high quality denim as my older pairs.
I tried on a few pairs of NYDJ’s but I did not find them comfortable. I am in the spot of all my favorite jeans are at the point of falling apart. I have not found any good replacements. I used to also love J Crew jeans but have found the last few pairs to be cut narrower and not as comfortable. Or maybe it is that I am getting older and my weight has shifted and I need to find new cuts and styles.
I also like light weight denim. Strangely I bought a pair of light weight jeans from J Jill at the suggestion of a friend who works there. I have not had much luck with their pants since most of their pants are way to high waisted for my taste. The pair I have sit at the top of my hips which is comfortable. They are also extremely light weight.
My problem is I have one hip that is higher. I find anything that goes above the hips to be very uncomfortable. But I also have the problem of having much of my added weight in my stomach. Hard to find the perfect fit that also looks attractive.

I tend to buy several pairs of whatever works when I find the right kind in my size and then hope they don’t fall apart too quickly. I would love to try this option, sometime.

Got a pair of Levi 545, wide-leg, lightweight, slightly stretchy, lower-cut with the wider waistband (hipband?) cut on an angle so no gapping at the back) - cost me $13.99 at one of the discount clothing stores (TJMaxx, I think). Loved them so much, went running back for another pair - then felt generous and shipped them out to DD in Turkey, who thinks they are excellent also. I don’t know what I’ll do when they wear out - but I did find a pair of similar weight jeans at TJMaxx for $20 without the jeans styling (more like trousers, but in denim) with the same wide legs, lower cut and suitable for wearing for dressup - Willi Smith. I can’t imagine paying more than $30 for jeans…
