Can anyone suggest one of these in the southeast/mid-Atlantic region? Looking for 2-3 weeks without the huge price tag of the MT programs of UM, CMU or Rutgers. Thanks.

There is an AMAZING festival called Masterworks held at Grace College in In. Though it isn’t a big name festival, the training is great. All of the theatre faculty have very successful professional careers (some are/were on broadway as actors, some produce, ect.) and in addition to workshops in improv, stage combat, dialects, ect. they put on a full length production. It is run by a christian organization, and a Bible study 3 nights a week is required, so I don’t know if that would be something you would care about. Not all of the students are Christians though, many simply come for the remarkable training and experience. The campus is beautiful and there are tons of fun things to do in the down time. It’s only $2,500 for a month which is wayyy less than many theatre programs, and they are VERY generous with scholarships. i got half tuition last year for doing only 5 hours a week in the scene shop or costume shop, and I know a girl this year who got a full one for having a great audition. I’m not sure if this is what you’re looking for, but it really is a fantastic program. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about it.
