I’m a white male, Junior from California in Honors Pre-Calculus too…except my parents didn’t make me apply! I really want to go.

For me, my SAT is a lot better than my PSAT(I still beat the cut-off for NM, so I don’t really care).

Math and science are my passions, but it’s weird how I don’t have as many science/math ECs as I would like, and I score the worst on math compared to the other two sections on the SAT/PSAT. I still included a resume though.

I wrote around 650-700 words for the final essay, so I hope they don’t get mad about that!

hey guys, if i applied from California, how long does it normally take for them to email saying they received my application? because i applied like a week ago and there’s no response :/

I wasn’t going to apply, but I got multiple emails from SSP saying that since I applied to MITES, they think I should also apply to SSP. All I had to do was email my short answers, so why not. Do you guys know if there are many minority applicants/students each year?

Sheesh, you guys scared me. I thought confirmation letter = accepted. I haven’t received anything yet, but I’ll keep an eye out for the confirmation email. I hope nothing went wrong with the delivery -_-

Ahhhhh I’m on the alternate list! This sounds lame, but I’m incredibly happy that I might have even the slimmest chance of going. Ahhhh I’m so shocked that I wasn’t rejected ><

I had no SAT scores and my essays were almost all over the word limit lol. Good luck guys!

Do they reserve international spots? Because otherwise I don’t see how they can already have made a decision…

EDIT: Last year’s forum said stuff might be happening in waves. Also, those apps were due 3/15 and they knew on 4/12… I would expect a similar time frame (3/28)

India. Hopefully my TASP interview and final decision goes well! SSP looks really amazing though, for those of you that got in. All I can hope is that SSP admissions saw my passion for the subject first. I can fully understand though, considering the quality of applicants.
