Summer studies - NTU Singapore or US English studies

So, for the past few summers I’ve been working pretty much full time, efter doing full uni studies all year. I like studying, but I really feel like I missed out on some of the “travelling the world” stuff that most of my friends did. After establishing that I really have been to large parts of Europe, I applied to a summer programme at Nanyang Technological U in Singapore. I don’t know how they prioritize though, and even though it’s likely I get in… if I don’t I’ve just said no to five weeks of work this summer. I guess I could just stay home, but I’d really like to go abroad. So, backup plan: Four weeks of buissness English/TOEFL prep/something study in the US. More because I’d like to go to there than I really have to work on my English.

So, firstly - Anyone who knows anything about NTU or the Trabilizer summer programme there? Going to Singapore would be awesome, but I don’t know a first thing about it and I’m having a hard time finding insider info. Any tips?

Secondly - Anyone who knows any reasonably prized summer programmes with short notice application time in the US? I’d really like to go North East, but I’m open to suggestions. I don’t have a TOEFL/IELTS/CAE certification, but I could probably get one. Still, It’s a plan B and exchange studies via my home uni don’t require one, and they’re somewhat pricey in money and prep time so I’d prefer not having to get one. Lazy of me, still… yea.
