Deferred SOM for my son.

def frustrating… at least not a denial… seems like many deferred end up accepted eventually. Not fun to wait. Hopefully she got some other yes in the meantime that she is happy with.

Deferred

Thank you

SOM deferred. My son got into Tennessee that had a 25% oos acceptance rate for EA but was deferred from our in-state school. Go figure.

No one at my Son’s school got in for SOM. Our school has always sent a bunch of kids to SOM. It’s definitely a head scratcher. My son got into Penn State Smeal which is 4% acceptance rate but deferred for Binghamton. None of it really makes sense anymore.

I am convinced admissions is unpredictable… I have stopped trying to guess.

Smeal admittance is terrific! But Penn State is expensive for OOS.

Same here, no sense at all. I’m sorry but if he is getting into Smeal there’s no reason to be deferred @ Binghamton- a number of deferrals at our hs too. Seems like too many oos getting merit and acceptances

Congratulations to your son!!
May I ask what your son’s stats are. My friend’s son is waiting on Watson Comp Science, in state. Seems like everyone has heard something except them.
-TIA

In-state, applied last day of EA window, Watson, submitted strong test scores. Accepted on Jan 9.
