I don’t think you want to start comparing the behavior off the field of Peyton Manning and Tom Brady.
I was comparing their acting skills and/or lack thereof. Oy!
I get it. We’re all getting too serious here! :))
White drunk dudes after a super bowl destroying property = A-okay in our culture, “kids will be kids”
POC upset about racial/social injustices = angry mob that wants to pillage and burn
That reasoning is part of the problem. At least with the latter, I can sympathize with their reasons for lashing out.
And, yes, on a lighter note, Peyton Manning is hilarious in the SNL United Way PSA:

@doschicos, one of my favorites. The guy has a knack for acting/comedy.
And yeah, he was unsportsmanlike after that game mentioned earlier. Was this his standard behavior or just a one off? Tom Brady doesn’t lose often, but when he does, is his usual behavior crappy? I have no idea.
It just came on my phone that Josh McDaniels withdrew from the Colts job. Wonder why and what that means.
What it means is that McDaniels better become the head coach at New England, because he’s burned every other bridge in terms of jobs. And New England’s reputation around the league just got worse, if that were possible. Also, McDaniels is the best paid coordinator in history.
Did he do it to leave the Colts DEFLATED?
Insert drum rimshot sound effect.
The prevailing theory is that:this was Kraft’s payback to the Colts for Deflategate. And the other prevailing theory is that Brady and Kraft want Belichick gone, so that’s why McDaniels was offered big time money to stay. Brady “liked” Malcolm Butler’s classy apology post, and said he loved Butler, so the thinking is that Brady is upset that Belichick lost him his 6th Super Bowl title because of Belichick’s benching of Butler.
Ultimately, who knows what’s happening, but it’s about time the Patriots become the “dumpster fire.” The end is here.
I read that other people accepted positions under the confirmation that McDaniels was going to coach the Colts. Now they are on staff for next year and do not know who the head coach will be.
The Colts shouldn’t have confirmed it at that point. Josh McDaniels never signed a contract with the Colts, never put out a public statement saying he would be the next Colts head coach, and repeatedly refused to answer reporters when they asked him if he’d coach the Colts.
He did not sign but he did have a verbal agreement and a scheduled press conference set for Wednesday.
It does seem like the wheels are coming off the bus at New England.
Supposedly Greg Schiano, who is one of Belichick’s BFF’s, has turned down the DC job. Brady “liked” Butler’s “so long and thanks for all the memories” instagram post, which many here are interpreting as a slap in the face to Belichick.
There’s been chatter for a week or more that McDaniels was getting cold feet about the Colts HC job. Knowing that, the Colts were dumber than usual to make an announcement before they had a signed contract. I don’t think DeflateGate revenge was prime motivation for talking McDaniels out of the Colts job, they did a trade with the Colts at the beginning of the season so it seemed like the bad blood was history.
If he’s not all in and 100% committed, it is better in the long run for both the Colts and McDaniels to split now, regardless of how awkwardly it was handled. I agree McDaniels has killed any chance another team will want him for an HC job as long as he is with the Patriots, though. If he’s been promised the Patriots HC job in a few years he may not care.
The Colts apparantly want to talk to Philly’s OC, so their coaching staff is already getting raided. That didn’t take long.
They are still a looong way from a dumpster fire.
ETA: McDaniels’ agent just fired him.
“Brady “liked” Butler’s “so long and thanks for all the memories” instagram post, which many here are interpreting as a slap in the face to Belichick.”
This isn’t high school or the mafia. Of course Brady should “like” that post.
In other news, Russell Wilson just got traded to the Yankees.
That was my take, but the radio sports people are going nuts over it, as are the newspaper columnists:
[Stunning day of news for Patriots leads to stunning victory for Tom Brady](Buckley: Stunning day of news for Patriots leads to stunning victory for Tom Brady – Boston Herald)
True, but trading away both Jacoby Brissett and Jimmy Garoppolo in the same season and not getting a whole lot for Jimmy G doesn’t appear to be smart team moves.
And then Butler-Brady-Belichick dynamic is odd, only playing Butler, probably the Pats 2nd best CB, for just one special teams play in the Super Bowl where your D is shredded by a backup QB? This strategy coming from someone who most people think is the best defensive mind in football?
There’s something going on there in Camelot.
It looks like the Patriots are spectacularly inept at losing. They lose one big game, and are immediately engaged in frenzied efforts to consume one another and to screw their friends in a desperate search for a win, any win, no matter how destructive.
It was going on before this one big game.
