Super Bowl

“So you’re a 49ers fan? You’re welcome for Garappolo. The Patriots are going to regret that trade, I fear.”

I agree completely. I think that Garappolo is going to be very good for many years. I may become a 49er fan even if I live on the opposite side of the country.

And… Brady has a hand injury.

Subterfuge!

My first reaction to the Jimmy G trade was that we traded our high 2nd round 2018 pick and the 49ers should have sent their lower 2nd round 2018 pick. I certainly can’t quibble with the trade now at all. He literally energized a moribund fan base.

The other forgivable downside of the trade was that the 49ers, at 0-9, were going to clock in and get the #2 pick of the 1st round. And now we’ll either get the 9th or 10th pick, after a coin flip with the Raiders. Oh well. The trade was well worth it. Thank you Bill Belichick!

As a Pats fan, I don’t want to get too hung up on fivethirtyeight.com. I recall that site didn’t do so well last November.

I am happy for Jimmy G, although I attributed the Niner’s woes before they traded for him to cutting Kap loose.

Haters gonna hate. Pats are going all the way again. I don’t love Brady but you can’t argue with his skills. Belichick is one of the top coaches ever. Gronk is a blast to watch. I miss my favorites ~ Bruschi, Welker and Wilfork! We’re near the end now though. I give our dynasty another year (and ring) or two and we’ll see B&B retire together. Hopefully, we won’t step back to the NE team of decades ago. My college roommate was a Steelers fan when they were top of their game and she’s the one who got me hooked on football lol.

GO PATRIOTS!

Brady is saying “we’ll see” on whether he’ll play Sunday due to his injured hand.

Kap was about an accurate passer as I am. =)) He regularly threw balls into the ground a couple yards in front of the intended receiver. The 49ers downfall rests squarely on Baalke’s drafting and the York’s ownership. Thankfully, the ship has been righted with a great young head coach, a great young QB and the better drafting and deal-making capabilities of John Lynch.

For me, and I’m a big sports fan, the 4 teams left in the running aren’t very interesting to me. Keenum, Bortles, Brady and Foles? Meh. I’ll probably be channel surfing and watching the Premier League games like Man City vs. Tottenham, the Bundesliga and/or college basketball attempting to form my bracket for March Madness. :D/

^Or the puppy bowl <3

I have to say, I am used to the arrogance of Patriots fans. I live amongst Yankee fans. Frankly, if you don’t say anything specific, y’all sound EXACTLY the same.

Jaguars looking good so far.

Remember last year’s Super Bowl? No counting chickens. :!!

Typical Pats fashion. They sure do make it interesting.

Next up: Go Eagles!

:expressionless:

Heh heh.

My son sent me this quote after the game: “Football is a simple game. Players chase the ball for 60 minutes and at the end the New England Patriots win.”

On to the Super Bowl, which we’ll watch on a cruise ship. I’m sure we’ll be outnumbered again…

My Pats won, so now I’m watching and hoping the Eagles fly.

Do you think Marrone is regretting his decision to knee it out at the end of the first half with 55 seconds on the clock and 2 timeouts left?

If they could have grabbed a field goal at the end of the half, it completely changes the Jags last drive, where they got to the Pats’ 38 but had to keep passing because they needed a TD.

No team this entire season has taken a knee with over 50 seconds left on the clock. Did he think a 4 point lead was safe?

Jacksonville’s play-calling got very questionable in the 4th quarter as well. I felt like they moved away from the plays that were working through most of the game.

It boggles my mind, how other coaches just lose it in the late stages of these critical games. It is just lack of experience of being in big games, and they freeze up? Or is Darth Hoodie so strong with the dark side of the force that he chokes out the other coaches from across the field?

I think we are headed for a repeat of Super Bowl 37. Minnesota looks terrible tonight.

The Patriots just have the experience. They PRACTICE clock management (last week had 1 second for a field goal- missed but they had a shot). Jax has a young, very strong team but in those last minute games, I’ll take experience every time. Amendola’s catch, to get two feet in and hold the ball, was great experienced play.

Minnesota players are cold. They are used to playing inside.

So much for my favorites! Going into this, I wanted this to go, in order, 1. Minnesota 2. Jacksonville 3. Philadelphia 4. New England. Now , I’m down to rooting for Philadelphia to beat New England. Go Eagles!

Indoor teams are 0-12 when playing in an NFC championship game outdoors.
