Super Bowl

@doschicos I wasn’t sure how warm it would be inside the stadium but I’ve looked around a little now and it sounds like it will be fine. I still need the warm clothes for the tailgates and wandering around Minneapolis though!

@bookworm I live in FL! I am from MA though so I can handle the cold weather as long as I have the right clothes. My winter boots did not keep my feet warm over Christmas when it was in the single digits so I am going to look for a new pair of boots this week.

@alwaysamom I try not to get into any discussions when people start to hate on Brady. I have been lucky enough to meet him and be around him for a bit and he was one of the nicest guys you could meet. Does lots of charity work without ever bragging about it. (and he is actually doing the volunteering, not just giving money or lending his name to the cause) Was gracious and humble to every person who came up asking for autographs, pictures or just wanted to talk. He never acted arrogant or annoyed just stayed as long as he needed.

Anyway - go Pats!!!

Brady did a poor job of acting in his cameo in the movie Ted 2. ;))

Philly Philly!

I think you can beat the Patriots if you put pressure on Brady rushing 4. If you have to blitz to get pressure or do not pressure him, you are toast. Whether the Eagles can do that remains to be seen. Why they play the games as they say.

You publicly admit to watching Ted 2!?

:-? :-B

Very brave.

I LOVED IT! One of the funniest movies that I’ve seen recently. Two thumbs up. I have no qualms with admittiing it. At all. In fact, I’ve watched the movie several times, it’s that good. One of the best scenes, is the scene where The Great Gatsby and its author F. Scott Fitzgerald are discussed. You can youtube it, but without watching it in the context of the movie, it may seem out of place.

Good article today in the WaPo about “the fix being in” already for the Patriots.

Philly Philly!

My Echo says the Eagles will win, so there’s that!

Is everybody ready? Got our cheesesteaks, nachos, growlers all set!

I spent the morning making desserts, which are my responsibility for the pot luck party. I used up some of my fancy George Clooney tequila which is sitting on a shelf because I don’t drink tequila. Made Tequila Lime Bars. And I made Basil infused Berry and Lemon sorbet which made a huge mess all over the kitchen!

Can you tell we live in So Cal? Doubt these are a Super Bowl mainstay in many other regions:)

I’m catching up on a little light reading before the game starts. An article entitled “Why Tom Brady’s New England Patriots Are the Most Tainted Sports Dynasty Ever.”

:stuck_out_tongue:

Pink had the flu. Glad she was able to sing the national anthem.

I thought Pink sounded amazing.

She did!

Liked the Verizon/Sprint commercial with the robots “making fun of their coworker” , but when one company compares itself to the other and both names are mentioned, its easy to forget which company made the commercial.

I loved the Toyota paralympics commercial.Several have been on tv already this week. That was one. Well done.

Agree @jym626. I’ve seen a couple of cool ads already!

100% over “dilly dilly” already. It wasn’t funny the first time and it’s a dumb campaign.

Now Wendy’s mentioned McDonalds but they pulled it off well.

Oh my gosh - agree @romanigypsyeyes.

OK, the cheese and wine Superbowl party got postponed as the rain took a break, and we all decided that the time would be better spent doing something productive in the yards. Took a break to eat lunch and check the game, now back to clearing blackberries… There was a bald eagle squeaking in the tall fir above the house earlier today.

Oh, I didn’t even realize it was on yet. Oops…
