Surprised so many people liked the halftime show. I thought it was a 5 out of 10 at best. I actually love JLo and have lots of her music on my playlists. Also like Shakira a lot. Especially the song she did as the llama in the movie with the bunny and the fox…Zootopia.

I hope I’m not speaking too soon (1:25 to go), but I’m so happy and excited for Andy Reid and the Chiefs. As a lifelong Eagles fan, I love Andy Reid and my husband is a Texas Tech alum so is a big Mahones fan. We also have huge respect for the Hunt family (own the Chiefs). We were at our annual big party at my CEO’s house and got home for most of the 4th quarter. I thought SF would win, to be honest. They are the more athletic team. I’m very happy.
I didn’t get to really see many of the commercials or hear the halftime show at the party, so I’ll go back and watch this week.
So happy for the Kansas City Chiefs! My H is from KC and was 9 years old the last time they were in a Super Bowl.
The music was an after thought. How tight and glittery and huge and frantic seemed the main concern. There have been half time shows that had wow factors but the music grabbed you too. The singing tonight, it was like background not the main show. Also, do we need to cram in 7/8 songs? Can’t we get more than three lines from a song before it’s onto the next? Those women have legit hits they don’t need to cover other people’s stuff.
I was rooting for the Chiefs but if they only hadn’t had to score that last touchdown I would have won our family game wager!

Sorry but the music is usually an afterthought in shows like this. I can listen to them any time I want. I can’t watch them perform very often though.

Ah this is what I was waiting for: some people on twitter are mad that the halftime show was anti-American because it had so much Puerto Rican stuff in it. Others are trying to “patiently” explain that Puerto Ricans are Americans. ?

The halftime show had more energy than the game to that point. Not really a JLo fan, but she and Shakira put on a good show.
My favorite ads were Hyundai (smaht pahk), Bill Murray groundhog day, and Alexa.
It wasn’t looking good for the Chiefs, but somehow they pulled it out again just like they did in the 2 other playoff games. Happy for Andy Reid and the city of KC.
