We’ve heard great things about Muhelnberg! One of the teacher’s at my dd’s studio went there and she is both a lovely dancer and an interesting choreographer.
My D confirms they both participate in yellow ribbon and would therefore be affordable to her. She liked Muhlenberg’s program particularly, but says she’s all applicationed out for now. She will remember them if she ends up unhappy with her choices and decides to gap to apply anew next year. Right now she has pneumonia, so it’s not surprising that the idea of one or two more applications was met with a solid no. I’ll ask her again in a few weeks.
D received her Dean acceptance and scholarship award today. We are going to add it to our visit list for early spring.
@milgymfam Can I ask, did you go to Dean to audition? My D was accepted through Dancewave, but haven’t had a chance to check out the school yet. We don’t know anyone yet that has gone there, so very curious. lol

@milgymfam I was so hoping you went onsite lol. D just heard from her dancewave audition last week. The only thing I know is that they have jazz. ?
Here are my notes from my DD’s audition/visit there last year:
Dean College- Designed after the U of AZ program with triple track and lots of dancers (about 180+) at a small private school. The campus is very beautiful and the dorm rooms are absolutely huge and newer. The faculty and support here was really impressive as it is appears to be directly modeled after U of AZ with triple track and equal emphasis on all 3 genres ballet, jazz, modern with lots of performing opportunities and lots of school support. It is in an area where the arts are very supported as well (less than an hour from Boston) so the program is also well endowed. The academic admissions decision is rolling and the audition decision is available in the portal within 2 weeks of the audition process if you have academic admission. They have great merit scholarships and some dance money as well. The faculty is very accessible and interactive with every student. They also encourage lots of different summer activities, intensives, RA positions at intensives and provide lots of information and help for students as far as internships or apprenticeships.
We visited as a family and it was great fun. My D already had admission to school, honors program, and dance so when we visited they set it up for her to take classes and have the whole day experience.

We just received an acceptance from University of Illinois from Dancewave- D didn’t apply there. Does anyone know anything about the program?
@gmfalv We did as well. I don’t have any information on them either. Surprised the emails are still coming out from Dancewave. It was def worth attending.
LOL my dd got the email today even though she’d already been notified (in response to an individual email we sent them) and have attended their scholarship audition/open house.
My dd loved the program, and we were very impressed with the performance we saw. Very far away, and big $$ out of state. I started another thread on the program where I tell more about our visit.

Just got D’s acceptance letter from Montclair indicating she’s been accepted for Dance and also approved to pursue the Teacher Education Program. She was at the 11/12 audition after the Dancewave audition. Did anyone else get this?
@“Ksmama**” did you attend the Temple dancer for a day in November? We attended yesterday but because finals are starting, there wasn’t as much to observe. I was wondering if you were able to observe technique classes, and what your impression was of the level of the classes.
DD received an email from Steps on Broadway confirming she has been accepted through Dancewave video audition. Has anyone else received an email? Says she is accepted into the adult program. Looks like they have a 4 week summer intensive.
@jenibv we got the same thing. My dd is really only looking at BFA programs, so it’s not something she even looked at–but it’s always fun to get another acceptance!
@threegirlpileup I hear you. We are really only looking at BFA that can double major. But it is an interesting summer program.

D was accepted into U of Roehampton London’s dance program today. Probably the most unexpected thing to come from Dancewave for us.
