<p>The pressure must have been awful.</p>
<p>I wish people would give Diversity more credit, though. Almost every headline I’ve seen reads “Susan Boyle in shock defeat on BGT” or something to that effect, when in reality anyone who followed BGT throughout would have known that Diversity (who came on in the second episode) and Flawless (who came on in the first) were right up there from the beginning. Twitter sentiment on the night of the final made it clear Diversity were actually very popular winners. Susan Boyle’s story is great, but it always seemed grossly unrealistic to assume she would win. Hopefully she’ll be given some room to breathe and some time to herself for a bit now.</p>
