<p>Like I posted on another forum, Susan Boyle was only standing where she was because of her surprise factor (looks + background). </p>
<p>I mean, with all honesty, she was a good singer. But, there were a lot of good singers in that competition. The 12 year old that sang Michael Jackson sang much better than her imo, and he got voted out before the semifinals. i think if she just looked like a regular person, she might have gotten through the first round, but she would not be unique enough to win.</p>
<p>I don’t really think Diversity was all that special, coming from an avid watcher of America’s Next Best Dance Crew (a show on MTV with many groups that were even better than Diversity). </p>
<p>IMO BGT played the Susan Boyle card until people were sick of hearing about her. When everyone tuned in to see a underwhelming performance of her Cats rendition, I think people were puzzled as to how she was one of the final 2. Was that a million dollar performance? Surely people make mistakes, but Diversity danced flawlessly, and ultimately I think they deserved the win more.</p>
