if im getting my aid award then how long do i have to wait
I STILL have not received financial aid and I was accepted weeks ago. Getting really frustrated because I want to commit but it is dependent on financial aid.

I got in today to Whitman, but I got no merit. When will FA package come?
they forgot the link to accept a spot on the waitlist in case anyone didn’t know how to accept or decline. just accepted a spot but might not hear back until after June 1st… sucks

Got waitlisted at Newhouse. Not horrible I guess, seems like I stressed out for nothing. Honestly just glad it’s all over.

D was rejected but offered Pathways programs. No thanks! She accepted her offer to UMass Amherst with a nice scholarship over the weekend and also accepted the guaranteed transfer to BU. At least if she decides not to go to BU she’s at a school she wanted to go to. Very disappointed in Syracuse with the entire Admissions process. I’m just glad it’s over. Hope everyone is able to make their final decisions soon and has a good freshman year next year where ever you end up.

Also waitlisted… Would it have killed them to not start their waitlist email with " Based upon your academic and personal achievements, we are pleased to offer you a place…" Anyways, I guess Syracuse is out of the picture for me, as June 1st is past the deadline to enroll in my safety.

If you google Syracuse University Pathways Program there is more info. Basically you go to Wells College for a year taking 15 credits each semester and keep a 3.0. After a year you will transfer to Syracuse into the College of Arts and Sciences (even if it wasn’t the school you applied to). Who even knows what kind of FA they would give you once you transfer. My D got the same offer but she committed over the weekend elsewhere. Good luck with your decision.

Does anyone know how the waitlist works? Is it ranked? Also when are students offered admission off of the waitlist?

not to get anyones hopes up, but last year they started notifying kids that they got a spot off of the waitlist before may 1st!!! they started the second to last weekend of April, and continued to do so up until may 1st and then after. hope this helps!!!

also I’m pretty sure that they usually let kids know after June 1st if they did not receive a spot off of the waitlist. but if you did–based on previous years–it should be before!
