Message from my admissions rep:
“Thank you for this email. This has been an incredible year for us. We received nearly 40,000 applications for the fall 2021 semester and we’re working through all of them. We have another round of notifications going out this week so yours should be in it.”
More of the same. Still no answers.

@NJWrestlingmom Thank you for calling. The vagueness on the part of the admissions office is horrible. Why don’t they wait and release all decisions on one announced day like most other schools?

Just saying, BU got over 75,000 applications this year. They gave me a firm date in January about when I would hear back, and got back to me on that date. Just food for thought…

Yup. Been gnawing on this for the past week. Syracuse def seems to be the outlier in how they are handling this.
Maybe this is punishment for every teenager who said “just a minute” to their parents and “a” turned out to be 30.

Yes, BU was good with this. The only schools that were random that I applied to were UDel (which is essentially rolling), Pitt (which is rolling), and Bing, which is similar to Syracuse. They really should have one release day so applicants don’t get nervous or frustrated if they don’t hear. They don’t even need to announce it, but then applicants know they are all in the same boat.

They told me in my rejection letter. 
They posted it. They took about 12,000 (or 16%). They did waitlist a lot of people or gave them a guaranteed transfer (which I got) where students can transfer for sophomore year as long as they meet the minimum requirements.

They will. And I doubt they’re waiting on them as there are probably very few students who applied to Syracuse and the Ivies.
Oh, I don’t think they’re waiting on the Ivies. I just think their admissions is a hot mess and I don’t have a high level of confidence they will get their act together before April 6!

They will. I think there will be a wave today with waitlists and Wednesday with rejections. I don’t see them going into April and if they do it’ll be April 2nd. But I understand your frustration since almost every school has either released or given a decision date at this point.
I haven’t gotten a decision yet but was able to sign up for an admitted students event using my SUID. Does that mean anything?
