Accepted but no merit mentioned. Would love to hear if your student received merit notification today.

Accepted Aerospace engineering ACT 35 4.25 lots of EC but only $25,000 in merit so probably just not enough.

just heard they have stdratef to roll out

Are today’s notifications mostly likely acceptances? My daughter has an update but isn’t home - am trying to emotionally prepare myself.

Son accepted for Mechanical Engineering, but no merit scholarship mentioned. Hopefully there will be something offered in the financial aid award. Surely, they can’t expect us to pay full pay for a private school as even Lehigh offered something.

Portal says Merit scholarships (if awarded) are noted in the admission decision letter.

Accepted with 15K merit -(stated in acceptance letter).

No. There are WL letters too. D25 was waitlisted for Sports Management today with the option to do Fall 2025 Global Semester Abroad and then guaranteed admissions into the College of Letters & Sciences for Spring (and stay on WL for SM). D25 is not accepting the WL Spot or doing the Semester Abroad. Has been accepted into a bunch of other schools including in-state at UMass Amherst SM program which D25 is happy with. GL to everyone!

Daughter accepted to Whitman for finance. 3.8 gpa, TO, great ECs, did the optional interview. No merit. Will likely pass due to cost and options at Wisconsin, PSU, Kelley and Fordham. Loved the school. Wish it were more affordable!

Daughter accepted Falk College of Sport & Human Dynamics with annual half-tuition Falk Leadership Scholarship ($33,290)

Whitman leadership

Waitlist for Whitman School here. He has other options (and merit) he’s excited about so will likely not be moving forward with this one.

One thing I hate about this process is that when you learn lessons, you can’t apply them directly to ā€œnext timeā€ because it’s a one-shot deal. For example, my child opened NO emails. Why? I have no idea. I think he just felt overwhelmed and spammed? We didn’t visit due to cost and I think he followed just the school (not Admissions or any other pages) on Insta but did not interact with the account in any way. So demonstrated interest was MIA. Maybe an especially strong candidate could overcome that, but he was probably middle-of-the-pack so it certainly didn’t do him any favors. We also needed significant aid.

But we will focus on one takeaway that I do think transfers to life in general: ā€œoptionalā€ is not optional, if you want your best shot at something!

Son got email…but not home and I don’t know how to break in. lol

My son is in for CAS his second choice and no merit I guess (nothing in the admissions letter)

Disappointed :frowning: My dream school, accepted (!!!), but no merit OR aid listed in the letter.

S25 got into Newhouse! But he didn’t tell me if there was any merit in the letter (I’m guessing not) and now he’s not answering my texts (I was probably too enthusiastic in my response).
