For those who had the credentials and are white middle class (especially if your a boy) don’t get down. This school is NOT that great! Trust me. They didn’t want to give you the money you needed to go. Your credentials are something to be very proud of and you will get into a much better school that will most likely be in a safer
Looks like only one waive of acceptanceS, high standards to get into Newhouse and Whitman, looks like the schools are getting much better qualified students, this,makes it better for,all of us who got in, congratulations
Congrats to you but if your parents can pay what Cuse’s expectations are your in. That College will not help fund white middle class families especially if you are a male. There were many more qualified applicants than you AND I can gurantee it was about money!! Whitman and Newhouse may be worth the money because
Clearly they are both very good schools but for those of you who got deferred to Arts and Science with hopes of transferring in good luck! If you are well qualified don’t go to the Arts and a Science school!! Look at the nescac schools, also know. as the little Ivy’s. They will happily help fund a very bright middle class student . Bates, Bowdoin, Colby, Conn, Hamilton, Middlebury, Tufts. Way more prestigious and they will give money!! Yes, smaller schools but money well spent!!
You’re kidding me right? I’m a white male that got in to Newhouse and I got a pretty decent financial aid package. I wouldn’t even consider myself middle class-- actually slightly above it. Get out of here with that crap.

I applied ED to the College of Engineering and Computer Science but STILL I’ve heard nothing from them and it’s killing me!!! Please tell me there’s else in the same boat as me??

My son applied SD to Newhouse and hasn’t heard either
Super late but I heard back on December 19 and got admitted into Newhouse! I did not do an interview btw. I noticed a bunch of people who got in on here also interviewed but for any future applicants to Newhouse just know that if you don’t do one, it doesn’t mean you won’t get in! Also, my GPA is a 3.78 and my ACT is a 32 for those wondering.

I submit my ACT which is a 32 and my GPA is a 3.78 weighted. My SAT is a 1290 but I didn’t send it in.

@jolly7707 Someone is bitter… Syracuse is a need blind institution, an individual’s financial status plays absolutely no role in determining the outcome of their application. Also considering the amount of rich white people that go to Syracuse, it is quite evident that they are not biased against rich white males. Furthermore, what on earth makes you believe that someone that was rejected from Syracuse ED has any chance at Middlebury, Tufts, Bowdoin or any other school you listed? Do you understand how selective those schools are? Get out of here with your false info.
Jolly has…interesting…ideas about the admissions process but he’s spot on about carrying a weapon. The last time I was on campus I was minding my own business when out of nowhere came an enormous orange with a demonic grin! And legs! I swear to God that this citrus could run under his own power! I just applied for a concealed carry permit and will be getting the highest caliber zester legally available.
It’s very interesting, isn’t it. Yes! CUSE is filled with White rich kids who can PAY!! And IT IS NOT NEED BLIND! That’s a joke… Nescac schools give lots of money to smart middle class kids! Why would any of these kids go to the Arts and Science school with their credentials? If you didn’t get into Whitman or New House and they offered Arts and Science move on to a better school! That was suppose to be the point of my post. Clearly, I didn’t explain it well! It is not safe there at all! You’ll see when you get there! FYI: I didn’t apply to CUSE and am not bitter but will continue to expose them for what they truly are all about and promise to share specific information. regardlng this topic soon enough.
@jolly7707 Well considering the fact that I am a current student, I can say that the campus is safe. All of the incidents that have happened around campus recently did not involve students. Furthermore, if you have no affiliation to Syracuse and did not apply to the school, why take your time and energy to spread false information? Btw, Syracuse IS need blind https://www.edvisors.com/plan-for-college/college-admissions/need-blind-admissions/. So please get out of here with your information that is based solely on emotion and not facts.
