Hey guys I created a place for us to discuss SU ED II !! I am so nervous about getting in being that it is my dream school and all but how about you guys? Feel free to include your stats and GOOD LUCK!
hi, did u have an interview?
@caasse Yeah I did! How about you?
not yet…have it tomorrow. Can you please give me a detailed review @LaurynMV ? really wanna nail it
@caasse Sure! It went pretty well. I took mine at Lubin House in NYC and when I first came in you check your name in first and everything and then they send you upstairs where I filled out a paper regarding my stats and it asked for extracurriculars but there were only 3 slots when I have so many lol… so I would suggest filling out your best extracurriculars and activities. Afterwards the lady took the paper and then my interviewer came out and introduced himself. Then you go into the interview room, in my case his office, and they get you warmed up by asking you how you feel and whats going on. Then he asked me about my activities and how I’m doing in school, and while you are talking, they will be writing down what you are saying, so be as descriptive as you feel necessary. He asked me about Syracuse U as well and how I felt about the campus and I swear, when I was describing the campus and how I felt about the school his face lit up, so that’s a plus if you could do that! And mostly he’s just asking you questions that you should be able to answer. It’s not those questions that google says every interviewer will ask you but it is good to go over them. I was asked about why I want to attend SU ( and don’t say just because you like it, go into the academics or the real reasons why you love it… stay away from saying it’s fun, or I like the sports), the majors I want to pursue and my dream career, he asked about my strengths and weaknesses in academics, and he also asked me what I would contribute to the school. We had a great convo and honestly it just flows when you relax and the words just spill off your tongue tbh. Just be sure to put your best foot forward, dress accordingly, and be yourself. After it ended, he was nice to bring my mom in and see if she had any questions and answered them.
*** Note: What they write down will be written into a letter and they send that to SU as a part of your application… so it’s important to be on time, do great and have fun!
Good luck!

I actually had a skype interview and it went pretty well…and now I’m really looking forward to the good news!!! What school did u apply to?
Hey @caasse I’m glad that it went well! I applied to 1st choice Newhouse/ Whitman. If not I’m really hoping for CAS.
Just so ready for January 16th !
What is the 16th??
Anyone know the dates for when we should know if we got accepted by?
hope for Jan 15/16. They say starting mid-January, so around those dates @itsmecalp
^^ yeah like Caasse said but I don’t know if they’ll do it in waves.
And don’t forget to post your admissions decision !!!
Okay awesome! i can not wait to hear back from them. One of my friends was accepted Early Decision 1 but they did not respond as fast as they are for ED 2, i wonder why.
@itsmecalp because our applications are being reviewed with the regular decision students… I’m happy though. I’m just so eager but sooooo nervous
I can’t wait! I’m going on another visit next week just to meet with admissions again! I am so anxious to hear back
@itsmecalp The campus is so beautiful!!! I fell in love with it immediately when I got there and I went early Sept. last year so you know the weather was perfect.
What schools are you guys applying for (@caasse and @itsmecalp)
I applied to Arts and Sciences
@itsmecalp What program?
